I'm Deyan, from Bulgaria (GMT+3), and I've been around for 6.5+ years. I've been working on all the major CMS platforms since 2015 like WordPress, Joomla, Prestashop, and Osclass, and finally could concentrate my expertise on Shopify here at Shopexperts.

My main focus has always been to assist small and larger businesses to develop and improve their stores with any type of theme customizations and store setups, custom functionalities, along with custom sections and pages, troubleshooting, and fixing already existing features, app integrations and adjustments, Shopify theme updates, A/B Testing, anything doable in front-end.

Open source and GNU/Linux enthusiast since 2008, a father. Available both in English and Spanish.

Emil

I'm Emil and I'm from Macedonia (GMT+1). I'm a former Game Developer and Graphic designer, but now primarily a Shopify developer. BSc in Computer Engineering.

I'm specializing in everything that's involved with e-commerce. Whether that's custom development, CRO, A/B... you name it. I've also successfully published 2 apps to the Shopify App Store.

I've been mainly working as a freelancer for Shopify-related tasks for the past 4 years now, I have over 1000 5-star reviews on some of the freelancing platforms. My main key areas within Shopify are redesigns, custom functionality development, smaller tasks, consulting, app integration, and 3PL integration. I also speak German fluently (I was born in Austria).

Julian

I’m Julian and I’m from South Africa. Our time zone is GMT +2 but I’m often working in US Eastern time and Pacific time for clients I have in that area which suits me fine as a night owl. 

I’m primarily a front-end dev working with Shopify agencies since 2018. I’m comfortable working with designs and turning them into themes for clients, adapting an app’s front end to match the client’s theme and brand, and working with apps and automation platforms to solve client pain points. Even after years of working with all sorts of clients, I still feel like I’m doing something I’ve never done before on a weekly basis, so I would say my biggest strengths are research and understanding a client’s business needs and finding solutions to get their businesses running more smoothly.

Khaled

I'm Khaled, based in Egypt (GMT+3 timezone). I have a computer science background and I've been programming since I was 12, so I'm more of a problem solver type as I really enjoy this. I've been here for almost 5 years now, and that's the same amount of Shopify experience I have. What I'm good at is basically building new things, the larger, the more complex, the harder the better. For scale, I'm trying to build a game engine from scratch as a hobby project, so that's how deranged I am. 😁

If it's possible with Shopify, I'll figure out how to do it, and if it's not possible, then I'll have to find at least 3 ways to do it; you can't tell me what to do, Shopify. 🤷‍♂️

Lautaro

I'm Lautaro from Argentina (GMT-3). Throughout my studies, I've trained as a web designer and developer. Although lately, I haven't been focusing much on design, I continue to inject that creativity into my projects. JavaScript is my passion, and I love using it to bring ideas and functionalities to life. This has even led me to undertake projects using technologies like Vue.js and React, although I'm still learning them.

As for Shopify, I've been in the game for about a year and a half now. During this time, I've been putting my design and development skills to the test, creating and customizing themes, and adding those unique touches using metafields, metaobjects, tags, and basically any way you can manipulate data in Shopify. APIs, app integration, whatever Shopify throws my way.

Right now, I'm focused on perfecting my skills in app development, theme extensions, checkout UI extensions, web pixels, and the Branding API.

I'm Mark from The Philippines (GMT+08). I’ve been working with websites for over 14 years now. I simply love design and interaction. I have worked with large and well-known clothing brands across the globe. I specialize in:

• Custom-made themes from scratch tailored for customer’s needs

• Site re-branding and CRO

• Wholesale and enterprise solutions

Matias

I'm Matias, and I'm from Buenos Aires, Argentina (GMT-3). I've been working with Shopify for the last 9 months, literally since I was hired here. I'm skilled at:

* Bringing designs to life. I've collaborated on several projects with designers and directly with store owners.

* Designing new sections for stores, especially those requiring added functionality and complex designs.

* I'm getting familiar with checkout extensibility tasks such as creating new UI components, adding logic to them, using the branding API, and working with GraphQL. Although I'm still new to this, I'm improving my skills here.

* Handling sort of complex tasks, such as interacting with the Google Sheet API, Google Drive API, checkout UI components, full customizations of designs, and logic built by an app (which can be quite tricky sometimes).

* I also have knowledge in Angular, Node.js, MongoDB, MySQL, JavaScript, and a bit of React and Vue. However, I'm gradually losing my knowledge in some of these due to my focus on Shopify over the past 9 months but I'm glad that most of the solutions that I did since I started working here required JavaScript or some sort of problem-solving skills. I've worked with highly detail-oriented clients and I've successfully met their demands. I'm persistent and believe that almost anything is possible in programming. I always try to find a solution before telling the client it's not feasible. Most clients value this approach from me.

I currently have a busy workload related to checkout extensibility and custom app development. I'm trying to build solutions and ensure that I can assist these clients effectively. This requires a lot of time to assess the projects and develop the solutions, but it's worth it as it adds value to the client's stores and contributes to the Shopexperts brand as well, I think.. also these big projects let me get to the goal to sell 70+ hours while having fun learning new things.

Just a quick note about my typical work week, I usually have around three calls with clients per week, both new and existing ones. These calls involve discussing new changes, explaining processes, and providing progress updates. Clients appreciate this open communication, and they also find value in the videos I create to explain the solutions I implement. I've uploaded approximately 309 videos to YouTube, where I detail the solutions that I implemented, how the functionalities I created work, and the options they have to make customizations themselves from the customizer. Most of these videos have been uploaded since December so it's something that I do often and that clients really value.

It's a pleasure meeting all of you. Everyone here has a lot of experience so I hope to learn a lot from you guys, which I know that I'll do.

I'm Max and I am from The Netherlands (GMT+2). I have a BSc in Mediatechnology and graduated around 6/7 years ago and that is also around the time when I got introduced to Shopify and other e-commerce platforms at my first job out of school. My first introduction to programming was probably around 11 years ago. In those 7 years of Shopify experience, I've worked on loads of different stores and I still enjoy it a lot. I've been with Shopexperts for a little over a month now so I'm still relatively new here. My strengths are:

• Building a complete theme from scratch where the customer provides a full design.

• Custom sections/pages

• Shopify theme updates

• Shopify speed optimizations

• Small tasks (anything do-able in front-end development)

Priyanka

I'm Priyanka from India (GMT+5:30). I have done my Bachelors of Engineering in Information Technology and that's where I found out about web development and from that moment I realized that web development is my passion. For the past 7 years, I have been working as a Shopify Front-end Developer. Hopefully, in the near future, I'll start working on the Shopify App development. I have worked on so many stores thus far. I am good at:

• Setting up any app in the theme

• Creating new designed sections for the theme in an optimized way

• I specialize in setting up most of the things in Klaviyo as I have done it for so many stores (like creating flows in-app or editing emails)

• I am good at handling the project of theme customization from scratch

I'm Sumit, and I'm from Nepal (GMT+5:45).

Among many things, my specialty lies in converting any complex design into a Shopify website with pixel-perfect accuracy. If you have a super detail-oriented client who's giving you trouble, I'm pretty good at handling those situations. For big projects where you need to completely redesign every page of a Shopify theme with great precision based on extensive designs, feel free to reach out to me. I can either take over the entire project or offer my assistance for a portion of the work to collaborate. 😉

Currently, I'm not offering app development from scratch, but for the time being, I will be collaborating with other teammates until I start offering that as well.

Xeina

My name is Xeina. I’m from Egypt, so my time zone is (GMT+3). I have a BSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering to be specific. I’ve been building Shopify stores for 4 years. I’m good at:

• Complete theme customization with responsiveness, especially if the client provides a nice Figma file. Never built one from scratch though.

• RTL support for Arabic stores and localization (have done tons of them).

• Creating new sections for themes.

• Working with Shopify APIs and integrating with external APIs (not very fond of it though).

• Finding solutions or workarounds for Shopify’s limitations.

• And a bunch of other stuff.

I’m currently working on my first app for the App Store. It’s pretty simple but will be a step to something bigger. I also have experience with Webflow, Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript, and a lot of other frameworks and languages. I’m excited to join the team and work with all of you.
