While using the Shopexperts platform, clients have the option to buy Prepaid Hours directly from their account and later use those hours to pay for quotes offered by developers within projects. They can find that option in the top right corner menu of their dashboard.
In case you are communicating with a client through a different platform, the payment links are:
25 Hour Pack ($90/h) - checkout here
50 Hour Pack ($85/h) - checkout here
75 Hour Pack ($80/h) - checkout here
10 Hour Pack ($95/h) isn't promoted on the website. However, you can still offer it. Please use the link here and inform the client to adjust the quantity to 10.
Support packs are designed for users seeking continuous support and immediate access to a prepaid number of hours bundled as a package. An essential feature of this offer is that hours are deducted based on the actual time spent by a freelancer on a task upon completion. Support Packs are ideal for larger stores in need of ongoing technical assistance or planning significant website updates or optimization projects.
Important Notes:
The validity period for Support Packs is 3 months from the payment date (starting from January 2024).
After you’ve sold a support pack, it’s your responsibility to ensure that the client uses it up within the validity period. The clients do not necessarily read our T&C, so they may not be aware that their purchased hours may expire. You should be connected to every client and remind them about unused hours while offering new changes that will improve their website.
If a support pack is not finished but the hours have expired, you will be compensated for the delivered hours only.
However, if, right after the expiration of hours on one support pack, you sell a new support pack to the same client, such retention of the client will be rewarded in the following ways:
For developers, you will be compensated for the whole pack, regardless of the unused hours.
For clients, the expired hours will be added to their new support pack. (Note: the hours can only be added once from a previous support pack. Unused hours from several packs won’t add up.
Please note:
This will be applied only to packs purchased starting May 1, 2024, where hours have expired but the client bought one more pack.
If you have older packs purchased before May 1, 2024, where hours have expired, and your client bought a new pack after May 1, 2024, this policy will not be applicable.
Examples:
Today is September 1. A 10-hour support pack was purchased on June 1. The expiration date was August 31. 8 hours were used and 2 hours expired.
A developer suggests that the client buys another 10-hour pack within 2-3 days, and in this case, the 2 expired hours will be added up to this pack, thus making it a 12-hour pack valid for another 3 months.
Scenario 1:
The client agrees and buys a new pack.
The developer marks the previous support pack from June 1 as "completed" and invoices the company for 10 hours.
Scenario 2:
The client agrees and buys a new pack and instead of 10 hours, he or she gets 12 hours on the pack with an expiration date of November 30.
The developer marks the previous support pack from June 1 as "completed" and invoices the company for 10 hours.
The client fails to use up 12 hours by November. Only 6 hours were used.
In this case, 2 hours from the June pack permanently expire, and 4 hours from the September pack may be transferred to a new support pack if it is purchased right after the expiration of the September support pack.
Scenario 3:
The client does not agree to buy a new pack. Or prefers to buy a Custom Quote.
The developer marks the previous support pack from June 1 as "completed" and invoices the company for 8 hours.
