Meridian Ltd. is a high-end contemporary women's clothing store located on Main Street in Bozeman, MT. We own and operate a leading meat distributor for restaurants, hotels, and clubs in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. Due to COVID-19, much of that business evaporated overnight. Because of that, we decided to get creative. A direct-to-consumer business has always been something we wanted to tackle and now seemed like the perfect time to jump right in. Coldsmoke Creative made the transition seamless by getting us set up on Shopify. They helped us customize a theme, add products and collections, and set up all of the necessary Shopify settings like taxes and shipping. They also helped connect our Shopify store to a subdomain of our existing website. We've been receiving lots of orders since launching and things have worked relatively seamlessly. My experience with Coldsmoke Creative was excellent. They helped me set up my store from scratch and integrate with a drop shipper.

I allowed sufficient time to pass that I am able to give an objective review of Coldsmoke. If I had offered the review earlier I might have let my emotions get in the way of an objective review. The facts: 1. The project manager had no experience with Shopify. period. at all. none, and that should have been my first clue to run. The owner stood up for her and promised to work with her directly to learn what we needed...another warning sign. 2. The project was to move from one theme to another, and since this job various people have quoted this as a "fairly straightforward" process that should not take that long. The project took FOUR MONTHS. 3. The project delivered did not meet our requirements, the objectives outlined or the functionality requested. We are still finding functionalities that do not work, and have since had to go to others to fix the mess that Coldsmoke left in their wake. It's hard to put your faith in someone, and to have that faith destroyed. My advice if you are considering Coldsmoke for a project...DONT, regardless of how believable the pitch.
