Being a developer in the early days of the web I know how how frustrating it can be to take a clients idea, generally on a napkin or some other form of babble and turn it in to a fully functioning product that works beyond the clients expectations. My company was running a Product Cart, ASP code based site on my own servers hosted at a big firm for over 15 years. I had always had some issues with the integration to our Point Of Sale (POS) system to the web as well as other small issues. It was a good site doing millions in business but could always have been better. As the Site and POS system aged (and our business grew) and after many patches and updates my issues grew larger and it started to hamper our growth so I started looking around at new platforms that would allow me to keep our OS system as we liked it. I had always thought Shopify was for small startups with small numbers of products. The more I looked however I decided to make the move to Shopify which is no small decision for a site doing millions a year and one with 10,000 SKUS and a lot of real time POS integration due to product turns and low margins. Looking for a developer to take on the project I knew I wanted to work with a strong but approachable company as I knew the relationship would need to continue much longer than the initial development. My search resulted in a blind "send me some info" email request to Craft & Code. In short order Matt the owner responded and we set up several meetings at my shop. After a lot of consult where they took the time and interest to learn our operations, order flows, POS systems as well as my wants and needs I awarded Craft & Code the job whose estimate actually came in slightly below my expectations. The communication during the build was most excellent, with phone calls and emails quickly answered and with suggestions for ideas for functions and ways of operation that I had not thought of. The end result was us launching just before the Christmas rush and at a time where we will do a large portion of our yearly business over the 2-3 month period. Some would say we were crazy for doing this so close to a critical date but all along I felt comfortable. As the owner of a business there is a lot to factor in when you are running a company and changing or updating a major aspect of it but the most important aspect is that you are comfortable and confident in the folks you are giving these responsibilities to. Craft & Code delivered to us in a big way and we have processed over 2000 transactions the first 60 days. I am happy to submit this review and my only hope is that they do not get to big as I have many more sites and ideas to work with them on and I want them all to myself ;-)

Matt Haff is very knowledgeable and technically adept. When faced with unexpected challenges, he worked with us until our issues were resolved and often went an extra step to help. He was very patient with us when we didn’t understand the technical aspect of our website. Overall he was a pleasure to work with and worked in a timely fashion.
