Les Mauvaises Herbes, a Montreal-based Shopify brand offering eco-friendly products, natural ingredients, and DIY kits, was managing all operations through Excel and fragmented tools. Production planning, recipe management, purchasing, inventory, and fulfillment were disconnected, creating stock discrepancies, manual double-entry, and zero visibility across their warehouse, retail boutique, and online store.
Adding to the complexity: bulk items sold both online and in-store required unique inventory logic, and many material SKUs served a dual purpose, sold directly as standalone products while also used as ingredients in recipes for manufactured goods. This made accurate stock tracking, costing, and reorder planning extremely difficult without an integrated system.
LevelOps led a full operational diagnostic, evaluated ERP options, and implemented Katana MRP integrated with Shopify and QuickBooks. We structured BOMs and recipes to account for dual-use materials, configured multi-location inventory with bulk tracking, automated purchasing workflows, and established production planning processes and KPIs to support decision-making.
The result: one unified system replacing Excel and manual processes, real-time inventory across all locations, accurate costing for dual-use SKUs, and a scalable operational foundation built for growth.
