Shopify Speed & Apps Audit: what’s slowing your store and what your apps cost you

A slow store loses visitors before they see a product. The time is usually lost in places owners can’t see: oversized images, late-loading fonts, scripts the theme no longer needs, and apps that add weight and a monthly bill, sometimes for work a small piece of theme code could do.

I find what’s slowing your store down and what your apps are really doing, and I write it up so you can decide what to do next.

What you get
A written report covering:

• Your key pages, measured on mobile: home, collection, product and cart

• A ranked list of what’s costing you time, with the cause of each problem, the fix, the effort, and the expected effect

• A review of every app on your store, with a verdict on each: keep, replace, or remove

• Leftover code from apps that were removed

• For apps that could be replaced, a suggested custom theme solution

• A short list of the next steps I’d take, in order

2. I measure and review your store.

3. You receive the report within 3-4 business days.

If you want it fixed
Once you’ve read the report, I look at which theme and app changes are worth making and send you a separate quote for the items you choose. The work happens in steps, and you approve each step before the next begins.

Who it’s for
Established Shopify stores that already get customers and carry a growing list of apps. Brand-new stores with very little traffic won’t get much from it yet, and I’ll tell you if that’s the case.

• This is an audit. I make no changes to your store unless you ask me to.

• I don’t promise a perfect score or a fixed saving. Some code is added by Shopify and by the apps themselves, and a theme can’t control it. The report states what can and can’t be changed.

• Changes to how your pages look and work for shoppers, such as product page and cart layout, are a separate project.
