Their operations bridge pop culture with specialized trade, offering both authenticated luxury goods online and traditional pawn services in-person.
The Challenge
The Shopify store for the iconic TV show Pawn Stars (gspawn.com), based in Las Vegas, was running on an outdated version of the popular “Dawn” theme. Over time, the site had been heavily customized to reflect the show’s unique brand and to create a distinctive shopping experience. These customizations made it difficult to upgrade to the latest Dawn version without risking functionality loss or visual inconsistencies. The client needed a dependable expert to migrate all custom code and content while keeping the live store fully operational during the process.
Solution
I performed a detailed audit of the existing theme files to identify all custom code and unique configurations. I then carefully transferred these enhancements—along with all content and theme settings—into the latest version of the Dawn theme. The entire process was executed on a duplicate, unpublished theme, enabling the client to preview and test everything before launch. This approach ensured a safe and seamless transition.
