When Octaskin came to HRVST, they had one mission: to make life easier for people living with seborrheic dermatitis. Born out of first-hand experience, Octaskin wasn’t just another skincare brand – it was built by someone who’s been there, tried everything, and finally found something that works. With a single hero product ready to launch, the team behind Octaskin needed a brand and website that could communicate empathy, trust, and science-backed results – all without the fluff.

The ask.
Octaskin needed a complete brand identity and Shopify website to introduce their product to the world. The goal was to carve out a space in an underserved market with a look and feel that felt credible, approachable, and unisex. They wanted to stay away from overly clinical or “zen” aesthetics common in the skincare space and instead strike a balance between scientific integrity and warmth. On top of that, their packaging and website needed to be adaptable for future product rollouts, setting the stage for long-term brand growth.
The strategy.
We set out to capture what makes Octaskin different: a science-first brand built on empathy. By understanding the founder’s story, we shaped an identity that feels credible, human, and refreshingly simple.
The design leans into clarity – neutral colours, clean type, and minimal packaging that let the science shine. For the website, we built a Shopify experience that’s easy to browse, informative, and designed to build trust from the first click.
The solution.
Octaskin’s new identity delivers exactly what the brand set out to achieve – a look that’s grounded in science but full of heart. The refined logo and minimalist packaging create instant credibility on the shelf, while the subtle gradients and typography add warmth and personality.
Online, the new Shopify site turns that same clarity into an experience. Every page is designed to educate without overwhelming, guiding visitors toward understanding their condition and finding real relief. It’s clean, confident, and easy to trust – the kind of brand you’d recommend to a friend without hesitation.
With a strong foundation now in place, Octaskin is ready to grow its product line, expand its reach, and continue helping people feel at ease in their own skin.
