Description

You end up knowing which Shopify changes have already broken something on your store. You also know which are still ahead, and the repairs are made. The check fee counts toward the repairs. If you go ahead, I take it off the repair price, so it is not a charge on top.

Who this is for

You might be saying one of these.

  • "Something on my site stopped working, and I don't know why."

  • "My discounts act strange at checkout."

  • "My developer moved on, and nobody knows what the old apps do."

  • "Shopify sent me an email about a change, and I don't know if it affects me."

If that sounds like your store, this check is where I start.

What it fixes

Shopify retires old ways of doing things on fixed dates. When a date passes, the old way stops. Your customers get no warning, and often you get none either. A broken piece can sit there for weeks, quietly costing you sales.

Three dates have already passed. On 30 June, an old Shopify feature that changed prices, shipping and payment choices at checkout stopped running. On 26 August, stores outside Shopify Plus lost an old way apps added code. It worked on the thank you and order status pages. Tracking apps often used that spot to tell Google or Meta about a sale. Since 1 October, apps can no longer add code to your shop that old way.

Two more dates are close. From 1 March 2027, Shopify stops loading that old code at all. Anything still using it then will go quiet. Shipping settings are also moving. Since October, shops can switch to a new setup, and every shop moves by July 2027.

What you get

I read your store for every one of these changes. You get a list in three parts. What has already stopped. What stops next, and on which date. What each one does to a shopper, and to your sales. Then I make the repairs. I move apps to the current way of loading, or rebuild what the old feature did.

How it works

  1. First, I look at your theme, your apps and your checkout setup.

  2. Next, I test the pages that matter most, like the product page, the cart and the thank you page.

  3. Then you get the list, and I repair what the fee covers.

If more is needed, you get a fixed price before any more work starts. You decide.

What is outside this service

Some apps are made by other companies. If the app maker has to update their own app, I cannot do that for them. I tell you which apps they are and help you ask the maker. Or I find a current app that does the same job. Moving a store with complex shipping rules to the new shipping setup is its own project. I tell you if yours needs it and quote it as a next step.

Questions people ask

Is my store affected?
I cannot tell without looking. That is what the check is for.

Why now?
Two dates are close, and three have passed. Something that stopped in June, August or October can still be broken, with nobody noticing.

Do I need Shopify Plus for this?
No. Plus stores and other stores are both affected, on different dates.

What if the repairs cost more than the fee?
You pay the difference, once you agree to a fixed price. If you decide not to go ahead, you keep the full findings.

If you go ahead, I take the fee off the fix price.
