How Do You Scale Three Fashion Brands Without Making Them All Sell the Same Way?

DrippieLAND Inc. is the company behind a growing fashion ecosystem that includes FRKM SCD, SCD CROWD and DP PARADIS, each occupying a different part of contemporary fashion while sharing a larger commercial infrastructure.

FRKM SCD operates at the darker, experimental end of contemporary streetwear; SCD CROWD brings a stronger motorsport and Hong Kong street-culture influence; while DP PARADIS moves toward sharper tailoring and a more luxury-oriented interpretation of the same wider cultural world. DrippieLAND is publicly identified as FRKM SCD’s merchant of record, and its current commerce ecosystem presents FRKM SCD, SCD CROWD and DP PARADIS alongside one another.

MOTIF’s relationship with the company has grown beyond individual marketing assignments into an ongoing role across commerce, customer experience, growth and brand expansion.

The opportunity is not simply to sell more clothing.

It is to help several fashion identities grow together without making them behave, communicate or sell exactly the same way.

The DrippieLAND portfolio speaks to fashion-conscious customers who sit outside conventional mass-market menswear and increasingly discover what they want through culture, silhouettes, music, styling and visual references before traditional product search.

Across FRKM SCD, SCD CROWD and DP PARADIS, the customer moves between experimental streetwear, dark fashion, motorsport references, directional tailoring and premium statement pieces.

That creates a commercially attractive audience, but also a demanding one.

They notice when a brand begins behaving too much like an ecommerce company.

They compare product, design, price and cultural relevance simultaneously.

And because the products frequently sit at a higher AOV than everyday streetwear, the path from first discovery to purchase requires considerably more than sending traffic to a product page.

The Challenge

DrippieLAND did not need one marketing strategy copied across three brands.

It needed a commercial structure capable of scaling the group while protecting what made each label worth buying from in the first place.

MOTIF’s role became balancing those two forces.

On one side was efficiency: better customer acquisition, stronger retention, smarter merchandising, clearer measurement and a Shopify ecosystem that could support continued expansion.

On the other was distinction: FRKM SCD could not suddenly sound like DP PARADIS, SCD CROWD could not become a variation of FRKM, and none of them could be reduced to generic fashion performance marketing simply because a particular tactic generated clicks.

The goal was to create more commercial discipline underneath the brands without making that machinery visible to the customer.

The challenge was not a lack of product or identity.

The brands already had strong visual signatures and products capable of commanding attention.

The harder problem was what happened as the business grew.

Acquisition needed to become more accountable to actual purchase behaviour rather than surface-level traffic.

Different products had dramatically different commercial potential.

Customer retention needed more structure.

The buying journey had to work across customers who might discover one label and later purchase from another.

International growth created additional pressure around merchandising, customer experience and media efficiency.

And a multi-brand company introduces a problem that single-brand Shopify businesses rarely face: what should be shared behind the scenes, and what should remain completely independent in front of the customer?

That became one of the central questions behind MOTIF’s work.

Solution

MOTIF approached DrippieLAND as a portfolio rather than treating FRKM SCD, SCD CROWD and DP PARADIS as three unrelated ecommerce accounts.

That did not mean merging the brands.

Quite the opposite.

We began separating what customers should experience from what the company could intelligently share.

Brand positioning, visual language, product storytelling and customer-facing communication remained specific to each label.

Commerce thinking, measurement discipline, lifecycle infrastructure, customer behaviour and growth intelligence could work across a wider system.

That distinction gave DrippieLAND room to scale without requiring every brand to reinvent the operational side of ecommerce independently.

For FRKM SCD in particular, we began tightening the relationship between product demand, merchandising and acquisition.

Rather than asking advertising platforms to sell everything equally, MOTIF used existing purchase behaviour and market demand to identify where the business already had evidence worth following.

The exact campaign structure remains part of MOTIF’s internal operating system.

The public result is more useful anyway: when the right part of the FRKM catalogue was paired with a more controlled acquisition approach, the focused 26SS product set reached 4.71x purchase ROAS, generating approximately $2,675 in attributed purchase value from $568 in media spend.

That gave us evidence for where the company could scale with greater confidence rather than simply increasing budgets across the board.

Building Around Three Different Brands

FRKM SCD

FRKM SCD has become the strongest environment for performance-led experimentation inside the portfolio.

MOTIF has worked across customer acquisition, merchandising, product prioritization, customer experience, measurement and growth planning, while keeping the visual and cultural identity of FRKM intact.

The objective is not to turn FRKM into a performance brand.

It is to make performance marketing understand FRKM.

SCD CROWD

SCD CROWD requires a different approach.

Its motorsport, night-rider and Hong Kong street influences give the brand a more specific cultural vocabulary, meaning the customer should not encounter it through the exact same communication that works for FRKM.

MOTIF’s role is to help build the commercial structure beneath that identity while preserving the reasons someone chooses SCD CROWD specifically.

The current FRKM commerce ecosystem itself describes SCD CROWD through Hong Kong street culture and features it as a distinct brand destination.

DP PARADIS

DP PARADIS pushes the portfolio further toward tailoring, deconstruction and luxury.

Its current storefront positions the label around custom tailoring, architectural silhouettes and an avant-garde interpretation of luxury.

That changes everything from product storytelling to customer expectation.

A customer considering a more directional DP PARADIS piece should not experience the same path, communication or commercial pressure as someone casually discovering a lower-priced entry product elsewhere in the portfolio.

MOTIF therefore treats the brand as its own commercial proposition rather than another product category inside a larger company.

  • Built a clearer portfolio-level commerce strategy across FRKM SCD, SCD CROWD and DP PARADIS.

  • Preserved separate brand identities while identifying areas where infrastructure and commercial intelligence could be shared.

  • Shifted paid acquisition toward purchase economics and product demand rather than traffic volume alone.

  • Identified stronger product families and commercial opportunities from real account behaviour.

  • Improved product prioritization across acquisition rather than attempting to scale every SKU equally.

  • Connected merchandising decisions with media performance.

  • Developed lifecycle and retention thinking across the sibling-brand ecosystem.

  • Built customer segmentation around purchasing behaviour and customer value rather than generic subscriber lists.

  • Improved the relationship between brand marketing and measurable ecommerce performance.

  • Developed expansion thinking for international markets while keeping the U.S. as a major commercial focus.

  • Introduced tighter measurement standards around purchases, purchase value, CPA and ROAS.

  • Continued refining the portfolio as an ongoing growth partnership rather than a one-off campaign.

The Strongest Signal Wasn’t Coming From an Ad Dashboard

DrippieLAND already had something performance marketing cannot manufacture on demand: people with cultural influence were choosing the clothes.

Pieces from the portfolio began moving beyond traditional ecommerce customers and into entertainment, styling and production circles. Wardrobe and production buyers connected with Netflix and HBO have purchased pieces from the DrippieLAND ecosystem, while the brands have attracted interest from Hollywood stylists, performers and other high-profile talent.

FRKM SCD’s relationship with J Balvin became one of the clearest examples. He has worn the brand publicly, and FRKM now carries an official “Shop the J BALVIN Look” experience around pieces associated with his appearances.

The portfolio has also appeared in wider entertainment culture. SCD CROWD was worn by Michou during Danse avec les stars on TF1, an appearance that DrippieLAND’s founder noted was watched alongside a Twitch audience of roughly 450,000 live viewers.

Those moments matter to MOTIF for a reason that goes beyond celebrity placement.

You cannot buy cultural relevance with ROAS. But when it already exists, you can build a business capable of capturing the demand it creates.

That became an important part of our work with DrippieLAND.

Instead of treating celebrity wear, stylist demand, organic discovery, search behaviour and paid acquisition as disconnected wins, MOTIF began looking at how those signals could reinforce one another: a person sees the garment on someone they follow, encounters the brand again through culture or search, enters the store with an entirely different level of desire, and eventually becomes a customer.

Our job is not to manufacture the appearance of cultural relevance.

It is to make sure the commerce operation is ready when culture sends someone through the door.

Before we ever asked how to scale DrippieLAND, the market was already giving us a clue: artists were wearing it, entertainment productions were buying it, customers were paying premium AOVs for it, and several distinct brands were beginning to develop lives of their own. The question was no longer whether people wanted the product. It was how to turn that demand into a larger business without destroying what created it. — Ash Ome, Creative Director of Brand & Advertising

Result

MOTIF’s work with DrippieLAND is moving the business from operating several strong fashion labels toward operating them as a more deliberate commerce portfolio.

The progress is visible in both the customer-facing brands and the commercial numbers beneath them.

FRKM SCD’s U.S. account has demonstrated an established 3.79x purchase ROAS baseline, while a more focused 26SS product set reached 4.71x purchase ROAS.

That focused product group produced approximately $2,675 in purchase value from $568 in advertising spend, with an observed purchase CPA of roughly $64.

At the same time, observed AOV has sat in approximately the $238–$302 range, giving the business room to think beyond low-ticket customer acquisition and toward the economics of acquiring the right customer.

Those numbers matter.

But the larger result is the structure being built around them.

FRKM SCD can pursue one commercial opportunity without forcing SCD CROWD to imitate it.

DP PARADIS can move further into its own premium world without being treated as another collection inside a performance spreadsheet.

And DrippieLAND can increasingly benefit from operating multiple brands without sacrificing the independence that gives those brands value in the first place.

That is the type of scaling MOTIF is interested in.

“You learn a lot about a partner when you build one brand together. We chose MOTIF again for the second, the third, and then the fourth. That probably says more than any testimonial I could write. They became part of how we think about the business, not an agency we call when we need ads or a website. Across FRKM SCD, SCD CROWD and DP PARADIS, they’ve helped us make better decisions around the brand, commerce, customer experience and growth while understanding that each label has to remain its own thing. As DrippieLAND grows, the question for us is no longer whether MOTIF is involved, but what we build together next.”
