Shopify Symmetry Theme Help from Clean Canvas Experts

Symmetry jobs to hand to a Clean Canvas specialist
Symmetry's settings cover most launches, and Clean Canvas answers configuration questions itself. Pay for outside help on the jobs below.
Bringing an old Symmetry install forward. Clean Canvas doesn't support versions that predate Online Store 2.0 or sit more than three years behind the newest release. Symmetry reached 8.3.2 in July 2026, so a store on an early build needs moving before support will look at it.
Porting code at each update. Updates are free to past buyers, but Clean Canvas warns you may need to copy every setting to the new version, custom code included. Someone has to log each edit and carry it over.
Features the editor can't build. Custom features and changes to native code sit outside Clean Canvas support. Check the list first: Symmetry already ships pre-order, product tabs, lookbooks and swatch filters.
App widgets on Symmetry pages. Clean Canvas doesn't support third-party code or apps. When a reviews or subscription block breaks the product layout, the fix comes from the app developer or a theme expert.
Mobile speed. Page speed isn't among the things Clean Canvas support lists as covered. Speed optimization experts profile what loads before anyone rewrites theme code.
Settings questions for the Clean Canvas desk. Its support form is staffed Monday to Friday, 09:30 to 17:00 UK time. Use that free help before booking developer hours.
Hiring for a Clean Canvas theme: questions that sort candidates
Clean Canvas themes start out tidy. The person you hire either keeps them that way or turns every update into a project.
"Which Clean Canvas themes have you shipped?" Symmetry, Enterprise and Beautify share one support desk but have separate docs and feature sets. Ask for a live store running yours.
"How will you hand over your edits?" Look for a file-by-file changelog and new code kept in its own sections and snippets. Since custom code may need copying into each new version, that log is what saves money next year.
"Is this a theme bug or our code?" A good candidate knows Clean Canvas only takes bug reports on an unaltered theme, so they reproduce the problem on a clean copy before escalating.
Reasons to walk away. Editing the published theme, rewriting core files for a change the editor already handles, or a quote that ignores your app stack. Our guide to expert red flags covers the rest.
A small paid opener. One section on a duplicate of Symmetry, with a preview link and a changelog line. For a longer edit list, theme customization experts quote the full scope.
Shopify Symmetry theme licenses, versions and support rules
Lifetime license, one store. Symmetry is a one-time $420 payment with a lifetime license. Clean Canvas says a license can move to another store only when the original store is permanently closed, and Shopify runs that transfer.
Free updates, manual carry-over. Past buyers get new versions at no charge. Settings and custom code may still need copying over by hand.
The support window. Pre-Online Store 2.0 versions, and versions more than three years older than the latest release, aren't supported. Support runs in English only.
Combined listings are Plus only. The Theme Store marks Symmetry's combined listing feature as Shopify Plus only, so other plans keep separate product pages.
Languages and layout direction. Symmetry ships translations for English, French, Italian, German and Spanish, plus right-to-left support. Other languages need translation work.
Presets share one theme. Symmetry, Salt Yard, Beatnik, Duke and Amara are presets of the same theme at the same price, so pick on design and keep one feature list.
Code is open to developers. Clean Canvas notes that developers can edit the theme's Liquid, CSS and JavaScript files for advanced changes, which is why version control matters.

Symmetry theme and Clean Canvas themes FAQ
As of October 2026, Symmetry costs $420 on the Shopify Theme Store, paid once, with a lifetime license for one store. Other Clean Canvas themes run from $220 to $430. Developer time is extra: the 21 badge holders list starting prices from $65 to $3,000, and our theme customization cost guide explains what drives a quote.
Not automatically. Clean Canvas says you may need to copy all your settings into the new version, including any custom code. The update itself is free for past buyers. Edits kept in separate section and snippet files, with a written changelog, are far quicker to move than changes buried in core files.
No. Its support terms exclude custom features, coding and theme customization requests, while settings guidance and bug reports on an unaltered theme stay in scope. Its recommended partners page lists shopexperts for theme setups, updates and customizations.
Only if it runs on Online Store 2.0 and is no more than three years older than the newest release. As of October 2026 the current version is 8.3.2, released in July. If yours falls outside that window, plan an update before asking Clean Canvas, or a developer, to fix anything else.
The Theme Store lists nine more: Beautify, Enterprise, Mode, Boost, Canopy, Showcase, Alchemy, Masonry and Expression. As of October 2026, Masonry and Expression cost $220, Boost $380, Mode and Showcase $400, Enterprise, Canopy and Alchemy $420, and Beautify $430. Enterprise adds back-in-stock alerts and infinite scroll.
