Rising Commerce is a Shopify practice led by David Martel, a Shopify Partner since February 2017. Dave has spent more than ten years on the platform, across theme development, app integrations, migrations, performance, and the fixes that keep a live store selling. We help merchants turn a Shopify store into a faster, clearer, easier business to run. The work covers new builds and redesigns, theme customization, migrations onto Shopify, site speed, and ongoing care. Most of that work is in clothing and fashion, food and drink, health and beauty, and jewelry. You work directly with Dave. The published response time is 30 minutes, and clients on both Shopify Partners and Shopexperts describe the same pattern: a clear reply, a careful fix, and someone who is still there the next time something breaks.

Kim rollout work an agency should own
Kim sells the AI and the people who train it. The surrounding setup is still yours, and it decides how good the answers get.
Policies written for a machine. Sentinels weigh policy, customer value and context, such as approving a refund outside the return window. Refund limits, exceptions and who approves what need to be written down first.
Data behind the answers. Order tracking replies need order and shipping data. Kim lists connections to ecommerce, shipping, returns and CRM tools, including Recharge, Loop Returns, ShipStation and Klaviyo. Map which answer needs which source.
Routing that matches your shifts. Auto-assign, rule-based triggers, tags and escalation live in the helpdesk. Set them to who is actually working, not to a default.
Chat widget and help center. Both sit on your storefront. Design-led agencies or theme customization specialists match them to the theme, keep the widget clear of add-to-cart buttons and test both on a phone.
Scoring the copilot period. New AI replies are reviewed by staff before customers see them. A rubric for accuracy, tone and policy turns the switch to automation into a decision.
Don't buy AI training twice. Implementing, training and QA of the AI are part of Kim's service. An agency quote that rebuilds them is paying for work you already have.
Picking an agency for a Kim rollout
The best Kim partners split the work cleanly with the vendor's team. Test for that early.
Ask who does what in week one. A good answer separates Kim's AI setup from the agency's policy, routing and storefront work, with names against each task.
Ask for a policy document they wrote. Look for decisions a person can follow at 2 a.m.: refund ceilings, damaged-item rules, when to offer store credit.
Ask how they would grade copilot replies. They should name the criteria, a sample size and the score that would justify turning on automation for one ticket type.
Ask them to model the bill. Monthly tickets multiplied by $0.70 is the starting point. A careful agency will also tell you to confirm with Kim what counts as a resolved ticket.
Proposals to treat with caution. Promised automation percentages, retraining work Kim already includes, or no plan for the review period.
Begin with a ticket audit. A paid first task: sort your last few hundred tickets by reason, flag the policy gaps behind them, and list the data each answer needs.
Kim Shopify billing, review mode and channels
Billing. As of October 2026, the Helpdesk plan is listed as free for life, with unlimited seats, email, chat, SMS and social messaging, and a free help center. Resolutions cost $0.70 per ticket, and the listing notes that additional charges may apply. Neither the listing nor the vendor homepage defines a resolution, so get that in writing.
Automation is earned. New AI replies start in copilot mode, where your team reviews them before sending. Automation is switched on only after accuracy is proven.
Low-confidence tickets go to people. Kim's site says tickets where the AI is less than 90% confident are passed to a Sentinel.
Channels. Email, live chat, Messenger and Instagram share one inbox, with order tracking, feedback surveys, analytics and reports built in.
Language. The App Store listing shows English only. Stores answering customers in other languages should ask before committing.
Security paperwork. Kim states SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001:2022 certification, useful if your procurement team asks.
A young app. KIMCC INC launched it in October 2024, so ask the agency and the vendor for references from stores like yours.

Kim support app questions from Shopify teams
As of October 2026, the helpdesk itself is free with unlimited seats, and Kim bills $0.70 for each resolved ticket. The listing also says additional charges may apply. Multiply your monthly ticket volume by the per-ticket price for a starting estimate, then ask Kim what counts as resolved before you sign.
Not always. Kim's team implements, trains and checks the AI. An agency earns its fee on the rest: written policies, routing and escalation rules, the chat widget and help center design, and the store data behind order answers. A small store with clear policies can often run without one.
Kim's site says it connects with helpdesk, ecommerce, shipping and CRM tools, and the App Store app includes its own free helpdesk. Decide early whether Kim replaces your current inbox or sits beside it, because that changes routing, reporting and who your team logs into each morning. AI customer support specialists can map both setups before you commit.
No. New AI replies start in copilot mode, and your team reviews them before customers see them. Automation is turned on only once accuracy is proven, and Kim says low-confidence tickets go to a human Sentinel. Plan a review period and decide in advance who signs off each ticket type.
Monthly ticket volume by channel, your top ticket reasons, the return and refund policy, and the apps your team checks to answer orders, shipping and returns questions. Add three tickets your team handled badly. They show where policy, data or routing will need the most work.
