Find the Best Shopify Experts in Poland
Shopify lists BLIK and Przelewy24 as local payment methods for Polish stores on Shopify Payments, with payouts in zloty or euro. Get those two methods live and tested before anyone starts arguing about fonts.
In October 2026 the directory holds 13 Shopify experts in Poland: 8 agencies and 5 freelancers in Warsaw, Kraków, Rzeszów and Poznań. Twelve offer store setup, ten list Shopify development, and eight each list marketing and consulting. All 13 work in English and ten in Polish.
Design and copywriting are the thin spots, with just three designers and one copywriter on the local list. The Polish profiles come first below; shortlist two or three and ask each for a quote against the same brief.

I'm a Senior Shopify Plus & Commerce Engineer with 8+ years of experience delivering scalable, high-performing eCommerce solutions for growing brands. My primary expertise is Shopify Plus, but my experience extends across the wider commerce ecosystem, including BigCommerce, WooCommerce, Webflow, WordPress and Squarespace. Having worked across multiple platforms, I’m able to approach projects from a broader technical perspective, whether that involves choosing the right architecture, handling a platform migration, connecting external systems or solving complex commerce requirements. My work goes well beyond theme development. I help brands design, build and improve the technical foundations behind their eCommerce operations, including: • Shopify Plus development and custom storefronts • Headless commerce using Hydrogen, React and TypeScript • Custom Shopify apps and bespoke functionality • Admin API, Storefront API, GraphQL and webhook development • ERP, WMS, CRM, fulfilment and third-party system integrations • Checkout Extensibility and Shopify Functions • Shopify B2B and custom commerce workflows • Shopify Markets and international expansion • CRO, Core Web Vitals and storefront performance • Klaviyo and wider eCommerce integrations • High-traffic and BFCM preparation • Long-term technical support and continuous development I’m comfortable working across the full lifecycle of a commerce project, from technical discovery and architecture through development, integration, testing, launch and ongoing optimization. My core technical stack includes Shopify Liquid, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Node.js, Hydrogen, GraphQL, HTML/CSS, Shopify APIs and Git/GitHub. I also incorporate modern AI-assisted development workflows using Codex, Claude and Cursor where they can improve development speed, debugging and delivery quality. Alongside engineering, I bring a strong understanding of CRO and storefront UX. That means I don’t look at a feature purely from the perspective of whether it works. I also consider how it affects site speed, customer experience, conversion rates, maintainability and the store’s ability to scale. Over the years, I’ve worked on everything from complex Shopify builds and integrations to migrations, international storefronts, performance improvements and ongoing commerce development. If you’re looking for someone who can combine deep Shopify expertise with broader commerce engineering experience, I’d be happy to discuss what you’re building and how I can help.

Who's on the Polish list: strong on build, light on design
Eight agencies, five freelancers. For a defined job on a Polish store, a solo developer is a sensible first call, and there are five to choose from. Agencies still suit launches with several moving parts.
Build skills lead. Store Setup & Management (12) and Shopify Development (10) top the list, followed by Marketing & Growth and Consulting & Strategy at 8 each. Developers outnumber designers more than three to one on the Polish list: Design, UX & Branding appears on 3 profiles, and Copywriting & Content and Finance, Taxes & Compliance on 1 each.
What that means for a project. A Polish team can build and configure your store well. A strong brand identity or a full set of product copy may need a second supplier, so plan that split before the build starts rather than discovering it halfway through.
English on every profile, Polish on most. All 13 list English and 10 list Polish. Spanish appears twice, Portuguese and French once each. With one copywriter on the list, ask who will write your Polish product copy before you sign anything.
Warsaw first. Warsaw is the city named most often, followed by Kraków, Rzeszów and Poznań. If you'd rather meet before signing, that's where to look.
How the listing is arranged. Poland-based experts come first. Below them the list widens to experts in other countries who work with European stores. That second group is where to find design and copy capacity.
BLIK at home, design from further afield
Keep payments and tax local. BLIK and Przelewy24 at checkout, zloty payouts and Polish VAT settings are easiest with someone who has configured them for other stores in Poland. Ask which Polish stores they've set BLIK up for, then try those checkouts on your own phone.
Look wider for design and copy. With three designers and one copywriter among the local profiles, a brand-led project will usually need help from further down the listing. A European designer can work from Polish copy written by someone else; just agree who owns which part.
Choose agency or freelancer by scope. Hire an agency for a launch with several workstreams running at once. Hire a freelancer for a defined fix or a monthly block of small jobs. Five of the 13 local experts work as freelancers, so either route is open without leaving Poland.
Test before you commit. Pay for one small job first. Give a shortlisted agency a Poland-specific task, such as adding BLIK and Przelewy24 to a live checkout, and watch how it scopes, communicates and documents the change. A careful one asks what else touches your checkout before changing anything.
Setting up a Polish Shopify store: zloty, BLIK and VAT
Zloty or euro payouts. Stores based in Poland get Shopify Payments, and Shopify's payout page for Poland offers payouts in Polish zloty (PLN) or euro (EUR). Decide which one your bank account and bookkeeping expect, and have your expert set it up that way before the first order.
BLIK and Przelewy24. Shopify's documentation lists both as local payment methods for Polish stores through Shopify Payments. A good expert switches them on, checks how they look on a phone at checkout, and pushes a test payment through each.
POS hardware. Poland isn't on the shipping list for Shopify's hardware store. Shopify's answer is to buy compatible POS devices from independent retailers. Agree a hardware list with your expert before buying anything.
VAT. A Polish store opened today runs on Shopify Tax or Manual Tax. Basic Tax only remains for a store whose EU tax settings date from before 13 May 2026. Selling into other EU markets via Union OSS points you to Shopify Tax, since OSS and Manual Tax don't mix. Returns and payments to the tax office stay with your accountant; Shopify doesn't file or remit.
Polish for staff and shoppers. Both the admin and the checkout support Polish, so staff who don't work in English can run orders day to day, and customers pay in their own language.

Questions about hiring Shopify developers and agencies in Poland
Probably not, if you sell mainly in Poland from one store. Plus is a larger plan for larger operations, and most Polish stores get more from a well-built standard store with BLIK, Przelewy24 and VAT set up properly. If you're already on Plus, ask each agency for Plus stores it has run after launch, not just built.
Match the contract to your payout currency. Shopify Payments can pay a Polish store in zloty or euro, so if your payouts arrive in zloty, a zloty contract keeps costs predictable; a contract in another currency adds exchange risk to every invoice. Whichever you choose, fix the rate, the payment schedule and what counts as done in writing.
Ask for two stores they built and test each on your phone: speed, search, filters and checkout. Then ask what custom code they wrote, where it lives and how they'd hand it over if you parted ways. A developer who can explain that plainly, in English or Polish, usually writes code someone else can maintain.
Yes, if they've done one before. Twelve of the 13 Polish profiles list Store Setup & Management, but a migration is its own skill, so ask for one they've completed, how they mapped old URLs to new ones, and how they moved customer accounts and order history. Insist on a test import before the cut-over date, and keep the old store running until the new one has taken real orders.
Usually, yes. BLIK and Przelewy24 run through Shopify Payments, so on a store that already uses it, adding them is a settings job rather than a theme project. The real work is testing: a payment through each method on a phone, a refund, and a check that both show up correctly in your payouts. A good expert quotes this as a small fixed-price job.
