I have over five years of experience in web development using technologies such as Shopify, Angular, Node.js, JavaScript, React, Vue, MongoDB, MySQL, and PHP. My journey with Shopify started when I joined Hey Carson, now known as 'Shop Experts', successfully completing their trial period. I have gained significant experience in Shopify development. I've worked in complex tasks such as integrating Shopify apps, Shopify Admin API, custom design development, apps extensions development, theme development and much more. Over the past few years, I've acquired what I believe is a solid understanding of Shopify development, which helps me deliver high-quality solutions to the clients I've worked with.

Bold Upsell jobs that repay an expert
The app suggests offers on its own. Choosing placements, products and styling is where outside help pays.
An offer map. Which offer appears on the product page pop-up or inline block, the cart button, the drawer and the post-purchase page. Too many placements and shoppers see an offer at every click.
Hand-picked offers for best sellers. Custom true upsells and cross-sells on the products that carry revenue, with Smart AI offers covering the long tail.
Funnels. Chained offers where each acceptance triggers the next. The latest version also runs funnels on the post-purchase page.
Theme fit. App embeds switched on, the drawer offer positioned in the embed settings, and Bold's custom template styles or CSS used so offers look native. Theme customization experts handle stubborn themes.
Checkout offers on Plus. An app block in the checkout editor, placed so it doesn't crowd payment. Pairs with wider checkout customization.
Subscription offers. With Bold Subscriptions installed: customer portal upsells, subscription email upsells and offers that convert a one-off buy into a subscription.
Do it yourself first. One Smart offer in the cart drawer follows Bold's in-app setup guide. Bring in help once you want funnels or checkout placements.
How to pick a Bold Upsell expert who won't overload your store
Upsell work goes wrong by excess: offers everywhere, discounts on everything, fees nobody modeled. Screen for restraint.
Ask which version they will build on. A practiced candidate knows the latest version adds free gift offers, inline product page offers and native discounts, while legacy installs needed Bold Discounts for discounted product page and cart offers.
Ask what happens with express buttons. PayPal, Google Pay and similar buttons skip product and cart page offers. A good expert plans a checkout or post-purchase offer to catch those buyers.
Ask for a fee estimate. They should price your plan from last month's orders before building anything, and say which billing model your store is on.
Ask how results get judged. Bold's dashboard reports click-through, conversion, revenue and order value lift. Expect a plan to read it weekly and switch off weak offers.
Pass on anyone who turns on every placement in week one, discounts every offer by default or promises a fixed order value increase.
Paid trial. An offer map for your top ten products, then two live offers, one in the drawer and one post-purchase, reviewed after two weeks.
Bold Upsell billing, versions and placement limits
Two billing pictures. As of October 2026 the App Store listing shows Standard, free to install plus 3.5% of upsell revenue, and Advanced at $10 a month plus 2.5%, which adds free gifts and in-checkout offers. Bold's help center describes view-based plans from $25 to $500 a month, where every offer a shopper sees counts as a view. Older installs can sit on legacy plans. Confirm yours before budgeting.
Plus only in checkout. In-checkout offers use an app block and need Shopify Plus.
App embeds first. Offers don't render until the app embeds are enabled in the theme. The cart drawer offer's position is set there.
Express buttons skip offers. Third-party wallet buttons bypass product and cart page offers.
Legacy stores. Moving from legacy to the latest version takes a few store updates and starts with Bold support.
Free testing. Development and sandbox stores get every plan free, so build and test there.

Bold Upsell app FAQs: fees, Plus checkout and setup
As of October 2026 the App Store listing shows Standard, free plus 3.5% of upsell revenue, and Advanced, $10 a month plus 2.5%. Bold's help center lists view-based plans instead, and older installs may sit on legacy plans. Check the billing screen in your admin before an expert models costs. Their fee is separate.
No. In-checkout offers are limited to Shopify Plus stores. Other stores can still use product page, cart, cart drawer and post-purchase offers, plus post-purchase emails. Without Plus, build the offer map around the drawer and the post-purchase page.
Three usual causes. The app embeds aren't enabled in the live theme. The shopper used an express wallet button, which skips product and cart page offers. Or the offer's conditions don't match their cart. An expert checks each in that order before touching code.
Not to start. The in-app guide covers install and a first offer. A developer helps when offers need custom template styles or CSS to match the theme, when an inline product page placement fights a custom layout, or when a Plus checkout needs offers placed alongside other extensions.
Monthly orders and average order value, your top products with margins, the theme name and whether you are on Shopify Plus. Add screenshots of any offers already live and your current app billing line. That is enough for a placement plan and a fee estimate.
