Stiletto and Fluorescent theme jobs to hand off
Fluorescent documents its themes well, so the paid work clusters around updates and code rather than settings.
Manual updates with custom code. Automated updates keep theme editor customizations but not custom code, and support doesn't cover manual updates. Fluorescent's own method copies templates, the header, footer and overlay section groups, and settings_data.json into the new version, then previews both side by side.
The jump to version 6. Fluorescent reports an ongoing Shopify auto-update issue for versions older than 6. Afterward, color schemes must be rebuilt, because Shopify doesn't carry older colors across. Stiletto reached 6.2.0 on September 1, 2026.
Navigation and swatches. Stiletto's help center covers mega navigation and variant swatches built from default colors, custom images or custom colors. Across a large variant catalog, that setup is slow work.
Cornerstone for big catalogs. Cornerstone is marketed for large catalogs and high SKU volumes, with B2B support across sales channels, predictive search and swatch filters to configure.
Code that stays maintainable. The themes ship with custom events, custom Liquid sections and editable JavaScript with a classic build file. A developer should build on those hooks rather than core files.
Content by market and language. The help center covers unique content for markets and selling in multiple languages. Our Shopify Markets guide covers the platform side.
Bugs on an unmodified theme. Those go to Fluorescent's support, free.
Hiring a developer for Stiletto, Cornerstone or Eclipse
For changes to the default theme, Fluorescent points merchants to its partners. Use its own update rules to test whoever you shortlist, partner or not.
Are you a Fluorescent partner? Fluorescent recommends its partners for customization work, and partners get VIP support and access to the product team. It isn't essential, but it helps when a bug needs the vendor.
Walk me through a manual update. A solid answer matches Fluorescent's steps: a backup duplicate, the new version added to the library, templates, section groups and settings_data.json copied across, then a side-by-side preview.
What happens to my colors on version 6? They should know colors don't transfer and budget time to rebuild the schemes.
Where will custom JavaScript live? Look for answers that mention custom events and the classic build file, not edits to compiled files.
Deal-breakers. Working on the published theme. No backup duplicate. Promising speed or conversion gains.
Try them on a small task. One custom Liquid section on a duplicate theme, returned with a list of edited files. Theme customization experts take on this kind of job, and our theme troubleshooting guide covers what to check first when something breaks.
Fluorescent support limits, hours and version notes
Pacific hours. Support runs Monday to Friday, 10am to 6pm PST, excluding statutory holidays. Send one ticket, and follow up only if there's no reply within 2 business days.
What's included. Bug fixes and answers to questions from general use, help with built-in features, and free updates to your theme version.
What's excluded. Design or code customizations, troubleshooting modified themes, third-party apps, Shopify admin issues, phone or video calls, SEO, conversion, page speed and analytics tracking.
English-first. Tickets in other languages are answered with the help of a translation tool.
Older versions. Support for older theme versions is limited and may require an upgrade. Themes from before 2022, ahead of Online Store 2.0, have separate legacy documentation.
Small fixes arrive on their own. Minor fixes and security updates apply automatically. Larger versions appear in the theme library with release notes.
Translations. Stiletto ships with English, French, Italian, German and Spanish.

Stiletto theme Shopify questions merchants ask
As of October 2026, Stiletto is $380 on the Shopify Theme Store. The other Fluorescent themes are Spark at $200, Eclipse at $280, Lorenza at $320 and Cornerstone at $360. Fluorescent's support policy includes free updates to your theme version. Developer fees are separate; our customization cost guide has typical ranges.
Cornerstone is marketed for large catalogs and high SKU volumes, with a mega menu, predictive search, swatch filters and B2B support across sales channels. Stiletto offers a mega menu, quick view and in-store pickup across five presets. Preview both with your own products before buying, since theme purchases can't be refunded by the developer.
Shopify doesn't transfer older colors into the new color schemes, so they have to be set up again after the update. Fluorescent also notes an ongoing issue with Shopify's auto-update from versions older than 6: retry on your original theme copy, then contact support with your Collaborator Request Code if it still fails.
No. The support policy excludes troubleshooting theme modifications and third-party apps, which go to the app's developer. Support covers bug fixes and general-use questions on the theme as shipped. For code problems, Fluorescent recommends one of its partners, and any experienced theme developer can take the job.
Theme name and version, a preview link, a Collaborator Request Code, and a list of apps that add code to the theme. Mention any edits to templates or settings_data.json, and say if the store still runs a version older than 6, since that changes the update plan.
