Red Plug Design Shopify Theme Help: Avenue, Bespoke and Roam

Red Plug theme jobs that call for a specialist
Red Plug themes do a lot from the editor. These jobs go past it.
Sub collections on Avenue. One sub collection setup drives collection menus, breadcrumbs, sliders and product page breadcrumbs. Mapping a deep catalog into it before launch saves a menu rebuild later.
Filters without a filter app. Avenue's multi-dropdown dynamic filters run on the homepage and collection pages. Deciding which product data feeds them, and cleaning that data, is the real job.
Product comparison. Avenue lines up to five products side by side on vendor, rating, price, variants and up to 20 custom metafields. Someone has to define those metafields and fill them across the catalog.
Editorial layouts in Bespoke. Bespoke offers 20 blocks for building custom sections plus layered layout options. Turning a lookbook-style design into those blocks is design and build work at once.
Edits carried to a new release. Avenue reached 13.3.1 and Bespoke 6.0.2 on September 28, 2026. A copy with code edits needs them merged into the new version on a duplicate, which is standard theme customization work.
Try the studio first for small fixes. Red Plug's own site lists theme customization and custom development, and its help center says it sometimes fits setup requests in when capacity allows.
Briefing someone on a Red Plug theme
Few developers specialize in one theme studio, so judge candidates on how well they read Red Plug's structure.
Ask how they'd set up sub collections. On Avenue, a good answer starts with your collection tree on paper and ends with menus and breadcrumbs generated from it, not hand-built menus.
Ask where comparison data will live. Listen for clearly named metafields and a plan to fill them in bulk, rather than a third-party comparison app stacked on a theme that already has one.
Ask which preset you're on. Trail and Pike sit on Avenue's code; Splendor, Workshop and Nature on Bespoke's. Someone who mixes them up will quote for the wrong theme.
Ask about right-to-left. All three themes list RTL support. Selling in Arabic or Hebrew? Ask for one RTL test page before the full build.
Signs of a poor fit. A separate filter or comparison app proposed for Avenue without checking the built-in ones. No duplicate theme. No question about your theme version.
Try them on one collection. Pay for the comparison feature on a single collection with three metafields. If the data model is clean there, the rest of the catalog follows the same pattern.
Red Plug Design Shopify themes: versions, presets and limits
Three themes, ten listings. Avenue carries the Pike and Trail presets, Bespoke carries Splendor, Workshop and Nature, and Roam carries Trek and Wander. Red Plug aims each preset at a niche: hardware, food and drink, beauty, auto, garden, sports and kids.
Versions as of October 2026. Avenue 13.3.1 and Bespoke 6.0.2 shipped on September 28, 2026. Roam 8.0.5 came out on September 9.
Paid once. The Theme Store lists Avenue and Bespoke as one-time payments with a lifetime license.
Built-ins that replace apps. Avenue lists advanced filtering, a quick order list and pre-orders. Bespoke and Roam list gift wrapping and pre-orders, and Roam lists combined listings for Shopify Plus stores.
Mobile-first option. Roam is pitched at smaller screens, with sticky call-to-action buttons on product, collection and cart pages and more than 40 image filters.
Translations and RTL. All three list EU translations in English, French, Italian, German and Spanish, plus right-to-left support.
Retired names. The help center still hosts docs for Handy and Artisan, which aren't on Red Plug's Theme Store page today. Stores on those themes should confirm what support remains before paying for new work.
Support route. Requests go through a form on Red Plug's Zendesk help center, answered on weekdays.

Red Plug Design themes: common questions
Avenue is the one built around catalog structure. Its sub collections generate menus and breadcrumbs from a single setup, its filters work without a separate app, and it shows up to five products side by side in a comparison table. Red Plug pitches Bespoke at editorial fashion brands and Roam at mobile-first stores.
Sometimes. Its website lists theme customization, custom development and migrations, but its help center notes the team can run short of capacity around mandatory Shopify updates and refers work to partners when it can't help. Ask early if your change needs doing by a set date.
Red Plug's help center has a short guide to finding it. Include the number in any brief: as of October 2026 the latest Avenue is 13.3.1 and the latest Bespoke is 6.0.2, so an older number means an update may belong in the job.
Not for colors, fonts, images and section order; that's editor work. Bring one in when the layout goes past the blocks provided, when filters and the comparison table need product data restructured, or when an edited theme has to move to a new version.
It depends on how much data work sits under the design. Preset styling and section setup are short jobs. Restructuring a catalog for Avenue's sub collections and comparison table takes longer, because the product data comes first. The theme customization cost guide explains what drives the price.
