I'm a Shopify developer with years of hands-on experience building and scaling e-commerce stores — from custom theme development to conversion rate optimization and third-party integrations. I've worked with brands like Après Nail and through platforms like Storetasker, delivering solutions that look great and perform even better. I specialize in Liquid programming, frontend development, and UI/UX enhancement. Whether you need a full theme build, a tricky app integration, or a speed and SEO overhaul, I bring a detail-oriented approach that gets results — not just code. I leverage AI tools like ChatGPT and GitHub Copilot throughout my workflow — drafting Liquid logic faster, QA-testing edge cases, and generating content-ready section structures. This means faster turnaround, fewer revisions, and more value for your budget. My background spans custom store builds, GA4 + GTM tracking setups, Klaviyo integrations, loyalty app configurations, A/B testing, and cross-functional collaboration with design and marketing teams. I treat every project like it's my own store on the line. I'm a Computer Software Engineering graduate and Growth Collective certified in Creative Website Design (Shopify). Let's build something that converts.

What Yotpo experts handle across reviews and loyalty
Yotpo is two Shopify apps under one brand. Reviews and loyalty each have their own App Store listing, and loyalty is published under the developer name "Yotpo - L&R". An expert who works across both helps because reviews and loyalty touch the same customer, but each needs its own setup.
Reviews and UGC. Automated request emails for product and site reviews, review widgets with Smart Filters, carousels and AI summaries, and star ratings placed through app blocks rather than edited theme code.
Google visibility. Setting up Google Seller Ratings and Google Shoppable Ads, so review data shows up in search and shopping results and not only on your product pages.
Review syndication. Syncing reviews to and from the other platforms Yotpo supports, marketplaces and social commerce channels among them, so one set of reviews follows the product.
Loyalty programme design. Rewards, VIP tiers and loyalty segments, starting from Yotpo's 20+ ready-made campaigns. Configuration is quick. Deciding what to reward, and how generously, is the real work.
Checkout and in-store loyalty. Installing the loyalty checkout extension on Shopify Plus so logged-in customers can redeem points, and setting up the Shopify POS extension so shoppers can join and redeem in store.
Stack integration and Discover. Yotpo's partner programme lists technology integration across a merchant's stack among the work partners do. Discover is a different discipline again, so ask any expert who offers it exactly what they've configured.
How to choose a Yotpo expert
With 7 badge holders, you don't need a filtering strategy. You need good questions. Five agencies and two freelancers means most replies will come from teams, which suits loyalty work that spans strategy and setup.
Check they know the current Yotpo. Ask what Yotpo sells today. The right answer is reviews, loyalty and Discover. Anyone still pitching Yotpo email or SMS is working from material written before that product was decommissioned.
Ask about Plus checkout. If you're on Shopify Plus and want points redeemed at checkout, ask whether they've installed the loyalty checkout extension and how they dealt with its limits: logged-in customers only, one redemption per order, no multi-currency or multi-language support.
Ask about POS if you have shops. Yotpo deprecated its legacy POS extension in February 2025. Someone who has set up the newer extension will know the difference straight away.
Verify partner claims yourself. Yotpo runs a partner programme for agency and integration partners and publishes an agency directory on its site. Our badge only reflects what the expert lists on shopexperts.
Red flags. Editing theme code to place review widgets when app blocks would do. Promising Google star ratings by a set date. Loyalty proposals that never mention what the rewards cost you in margin.
Pay for one small job first. A review widget and Google Seller Ratings audit, or a written loyalty programme spec, tells you more about an expert's judgement than any pitch deck.
Yotpo Shopify setup: what's changed and what to check
Email and SMS are gone. Yotpo decommissioned its email and SMS product, with full deprecation on 31 December 2025, and offered migration support to move those users elsewhere. Nobody should be scoping Yotpo flows or text campaigns in 2026.
Reviews run on app blocks. On Online Store 2.0 themes, the Yotpo Reviews app embed goes on first, then the Reviews Widget and Star Rating app blocks are placed in the theme editor. No theme code needs editing.
Checkout redemption is narrow. The loyalty checkout extension needs Shopify Plus, checkout extensibility and a Pro, Premium or Enterprise loyalty plan. It shows only to logged-in customers, allows one redemption per order and doesn't support multiple currencies or languages, which matters for stores selling abroad through Shopify Markets.
POS moved to a new extension. Yotpo's legacy POS extension was deprecated on 28 February 2025, after a self-serve replacement arrived on 29 January 2025. A store still relying on the old setup needs moving across.
Two listings, one brand. Loyalty has its own App Store listing under "Yotpo - L&R"; it began as a separately branded app. Both listings declare Shopify Flow, Checkout and Customer accounts compatibility, and loyalty adds Shopify POS.
Prices differ by source. Reviews pricing on the App Store listing doesn't match Yotpo's own order-volume-based pricing page, so confirm your plan with Yotpo before an expert scopes features that depend on it.
Yotpo projects across reviews, loyalty and POS
Six of the seven Yotpo-badge profiles list marketing and growth, six list store setup and management, and four list Shopify development. The projects that match:

Loyalty and VIP tiers
Rewards, tiers and segments built from 20+ ready-made campaigns

Points spent at checkout by logged-in customers on Plus
POS loyalty
Join and redeem in store with the current POS extension
Channel review sync
Reviews shared to and from marketplaces and social channels
Questions about hiring for Yotpo
On an Online Store 2.0 theme, install Yotpo: Product Reviews, turn on the Yotpo Reviews app embed in the theme editor, then drop the Reviews Widget and Star Rating app blocks where you want them. No code is needed. Bring in help when widgets need styling to match the theme, when you want Google Seller Ratings set up, or when reviews also have to sync with other sales channels.
No. Yotpo's email and SMS product reached the end of its life and was decommissioned, with full deprecation on 31 December 2025. Yotpo today means reviews, loyalty and Discover. If your welcome or post-purchase messages ran through Yotpo, they need a new email and SMS platform, and it's worth checking that no review or loyalty process still depended on the old product.
Yes, on Shopify Plus with checkout extensibility and a Pro, Premium or Enterprise loyalty plan. The checkout extension appears only to customers logged into their Shopify account, allows one redemption per order, and currently doesn't support multiple currencies or languages. A setup expert should confirm your store meets each condition before quoting the work.
Look them up in the agency directory on yotpo.com. Yotpo runs its own Partner Program, split into Agency Partners and Integration Partners. The shopexperts badge only flags that an expert offers Yotpo work; it doesn't mean Yotpo has admitted them to the programme. If partner status affects your decision, ask each expert for their directory listing before you sign.
Not a standard reviews install on a 2.0 theme, which is app embeds and blocks. A Yotpo developer is worth paying for on the loyalty checkout extension, the Shopify POS extension, Shopify Flow automations and any Yotpo integration with the rest of your stack. Four of the seven profiles include Shopify development; ask each one which of those jobs they have actually delivered.
Yotpo's reviews listing says reviews sync to and from other platforms, including marketplaces and social commerce channels. Confirm your specific source is supported before you commit. Ask the expert to test a small batch, check that reviews attach to the right products and see how photos carry over, and plan the import before you swap the widgets on your product pages.
