Find the Best Shopify Experts in Israel
Every expert based in Israel on shopexperts lists Hebrew, and every one lists English. A store selling at home and abroad can work with any of them in either language.
As of October 2026, 9 Shopify experts in Israel are listed here: 7 agencies and 2 freelancers, with Tel Aviv the city that appears most on their profiles.
A small pool has an upside. You can read every local profile in one sitting and shortlist on fit rather than volume. Core build work is well covered. Content and tax are the gaps, which is where the wider listing comes in.
Work through the profiles below, then send a brief, in Hebrew or English, to your top three.

I help DTC brands ($5M-$100M) break through growth plateaus by diagnosing what's limiting scale - usually they're driving traffic that doesn't convert, customer experience has friction, or teams are misaligned - then building the execution discipline to make growth predictable.

Nine profiles, two languages on every one
Seven agencies, two freelancers. Agencies dominate, but two freelancers in a pool of nine is a genuine option when you need one developer on a defined task. Agencies make more sense when the brief spans design, build and campaigns.
Tel Aviv leads. More profiles name it than any other city. Shopify work happens in the admin and over calls, so location is rarely decisive, but an in-person kickoff is easy to arrange if you want one.
Hebrew and English throughout. All 9 list both. Russian, Italian and Spanish turn up once each. If you sell to customers in one of those languages, ask that expert whether they write in it or only speak it.
Strong on build, thin on content. Store setup and management is on all 9 profiles and Shopify development on 8. Five list marketing and growth, and five list consulting and strategy. Copywriting and content shows up on just 2. No one lists finance, taxes and compliance at all. If your project depends on Hebrew copywriting or careful tax configuration, plan for that gap early.
What comes after the local profiles. The listing opens with the Israel-based experts. Below them sit specialists based abroad who take on Middle East projects, the place to look for the content and tax skills the local list lacks.
Hebrew-first or skills-first: choosing who builds an Israeli store
For an Israeli store, staying local or going regional usually turns on Hebrew. Four questions settle it.
Does the store need Hebrew written well? If Hebrew product copy, emails and support pages carry the brand, start local. Every expert based here works in Hebrew; you can't assume that of experts elsewhere.
Is the hard part technical or commercial? A payment provider integration or a theme rebuild plays to the local list's strength. A content-led relaunch or a tax clean-up is where the regional list earns its place.
Will you need support after launch? Ongoing support works best with overlapping hours and a shared language, and local teams give you both by default. A regional expert can match that, but get their availability in writing.
Are most orders shipping abroad? If so, an expert who has built for your destination markets may matter more than proximity. Ask for live stores selling into the countries you target.
Shortlist one local and one regional expert and give both the same brief. The questions each one asks back will tell you more than the gap between their prices.
What an Israeli Shopify store needs set up differently
Shopify Payments isn't an option in Israel. Stores based in Israel connect a third-party payment provider instead, and price in Israeli new shekels. Your expert should shortlist providers that work with Shopify, go through their fees and payout terms with you, and test purchases, refunds and declined cards before go-live.
No automated tax. Shopify supports only Manual Tax for Israel, so Shopify Tax and Basic Tax are off the table. The merchant sets the rates, or a third-party tax app manages them. Agree up front who enters them, who checks them, and who updates them when they change.
Hebrew works in the admin, not at checkout. Your staff can run the Shopify admin in Hebrew. Shopify doesn't list Hebrew as a checkout language, though, so a Hebrew storefront passes shoppers into a non-Hebrew checkout at the point of payment. A good expert shows you that step on a test order and words the storefront around it. Ask, too, to see a right-to-left storefront they've already shipped.
POS kit is a separate purchase. Shopify's hardware store won't deliver to Israel. For a shop or market stall, your expert should pick devices Shopify supports and buy them through outside retailers, checking compatibility before any money changes hands.

Before hiring for an Israeli store: common questions
Only if the job needs several skills. A freelancer suits one defined task: a theme change, a provider connection, a speed fix. An agency puts design, development and project management in one team for a full build, and prices that coordination in. With seven local agencies and two freelancers, line up a remote freelancer too if you go that route, so you have a real choice.
It depends on your order volume, the currencies you sell in and how you want payouts handled. Ask your expert to set out two or three options that support Shopify and the shekel, with fees and payout terms side by side, and to explain what changes if you start selling abroad.
Usually the expert building your store enters them, using figures your accountant provides. Shopify offers only Manual Tax for Israel, so there's no automatic calculation to fall back on, and keeping rates current is your job. If you sell into several countries, a tax set-up specialist from the wider listing can configure that as a small separate project.
Your product count, the payment provider you've picked or want advice on, which pages need Hebrew and which need English, the countries you ship to, who will maintain tax rates, and a launch date. Include a few stores you admire and what you like about each. Experts can't price a vague brief well, and the good ones will tell you so.
Technically, yes, since the work is done in the Shopify admin. The risk is the language: someone who doesn't read Hebrew can't spot a broken layout, a clumsy translation or a product title cut off mid-word. If you hire from outside Israel, budget for a native Hebrew speaker to review every template before launch.
