Find the Best Shopify Experts in the Netherlands
More of the Shopify experts based in the Netherlands list English than Dutch: 31 against 28. For an international founder running a Dutch company, that's useful. If your customers are Dutch, it means asking early who will actually write your storefront copy.
The directory holds 32 Shopify experts in the Netherlands as of October 2026: 29 agencies and 3 freelancers, with Amsterdam named most often, ahead of Eindhoven, Haarlem and Zoetermeer. Every profile includes store set-up and most include development. What stands out is strategy: 23 list Consulting & Strategy, more than list marketing. Fewer than half list design, so a brand-led project narrows the field quickly.
Start with the profiles below, check the starting prices further down, and send a brief to the two or three whose past stores look closest to yours.

I help Shopify & DTC brands fix unit economics, cashflow, and operational complexity - especially when scaling into the EU & UK. I’m an EU-based founder and operator with hands-on experience building and scaling a physical-product brand across 30+ countries via Shopify Plus and Amazon. I co-founded BrainGain, a home fitness brand that grew from a garage startup into an 8-figure, multi-market business serving 100,000+ customers. My experience spans the unglamorous but critical parts of scale: unit economics, pricing & VAT, sourcing, 3PLs, cross-border fulfilment, working capital, and marketplace vs DTC trade-offs. Today, I advise Shopify brands - particularly US-based founders expanding into Europe - on how to grow profitably, not just quickly. Most clients come to me when revenue is growing but margins, cashflow, or ops are breaking underneath the surface. My approach is practical and experience-led, focused on clarity, focus, and execution - helping founders double down on what works and avoid the distractions that quietly destroy margin.
Freedom Finance is a boutique fractional CFO and accounting firm built exclusively for ecommerce brands. We work with founders who have outgrown basic bookkeeping and need real financial clarity to scale profitably. Our focus is on cash flow, inventory, unit economics, and decision-ready reporting — not just historical financials. We help ecommerce teams: Understand true profitability by product, channel, and offer Manage cash flow and inventory without surprises Build and maintain forecasts and 13-week cash flow models Improve gross margin, contribution margin, and ad efficiency Prepare clean, investor-ready financials We primarily support Shopify brands in the $1M–$50M+ range across DTC, subscription, and omnichannel ecommerce. Engagements are fixed-price and hands-on, with CFO-level ownership — not outsourced bookkeeping. If you’re looking for a financial partner who understands how ecommerce actually works, we’d love to help.

ShopiCraft | A Boutique Agency, Founded by a Former Shopify Employee I'm Daniel, and together with my co-founder Daulet, we run ShopiCraft — a boutique Shopify agency focused on solving the technical problems other developers won't touch. I spent years inside Shopify before going independent. Daulet brings 10 years of full-stack development experience from one of Europe's leading energy firms. Together, we help merchants turn their Shopify stores from basic storefronts into reliable revenue machines. We specialize in the technical work that sits between "good enough" and "actually scalable" — the custom apps, integrations, and automations that make your store work the way your business actually needs it to. What We Do: Custom App Development: Bespoke Shopify apps (public and private) built to solve specific workflow problems your business has outgrown. API Integrations: Complex third-party connections, ERP syncs, warehouse management systems, and custom data flows that need to just work. Store Builds & Redesigns: Full theme development, migrations, and rebuilds for brands ready to level up their storefront. Technical Consulting & Audits: Store performance reviews, app stack optimization, and strategic guidance on scaling your technical infrastructure. Automation & Workflows: Shopify Flow implementations, inventory systems, order routing, and multi-location logic that eliminate manual work. Training & Mentorship: Hands-on guidance for in-house teams learning to manage Shopify more effectively. How we work: Daulet handles all custom and public app development — the deep technical builds that require serious engineering. I handle client strategy, audits, consultations, store builds, and anything client-facing. This division means you get both: a developer who can actually build what you need, and a consultant who understands your business well enough to recommend the right solution. We work with brands that are either: Scaling quickly and need technical infrastructure that won't break under pressure Stuck with a Shopify setup that's actively holding back growth Tired of developers who disappear after delivery or agencies that can't execute custom work Our approach is different: We don't "sell" packages or push unnecessary apps. We diagnose what's actually broken, scope solutions honestly, and build things that last. No fluff, no vendor lock-in, no recurring retainers unless the work genuinely requires it. ShopiCraft is a boutique agency — which means you're working directly with the people who'll build your solution, not account managers reading from scripts. We focus on finding the most efficient, creative solutions to your specific pain points. If your developer ghosted you, your agency said "that's not possible," or you're pretty sure your store could do more but don't know where to start — that's exactly what we're here for. We're based in Dublin and Kazakhstan, working with Shopify and Shopify Plus merchants globally. Let's fix what's broken and build what's missing. 🔧

JudeLuxe is a specialist Google Ads agency for DTC eCommerce brands. We work with founders, CMOs, and heads of performance who care more about profit than platform dashboards. We focus exclusively on Google Ads across Search, Shopping, and Performance Max, with one organising principle: SKU-level profitability. If a product cannot make money after COGS, fees, returns, and payment timing, it does not get scaled. Simple, unpopular, effective. What we specialise in Campaign architecture built around SKU and margin tiers, not vague funnel stages Feed optimisation for Shopping and PMax at scale, including titles, imagery logic, pricing rules, and custom labels tied to profit POAS-led bidding frameworks that account for contribution margin, not just revenue Restructuring inherited Google Ads accounts that are “working” but opaque, bloated, or untrustworthy Scaling post-PMF eCommerce brands without torching cash flow or inventory Typical clients DTC or hybrid eCommerce brands selling physical products £500k to £10m in annual revenue £3k to £500k monthly Google Ads spend Shopify-first, often with messy or underutilised product feeds UK, US, Western Europe, and Australia Tech stack Google Ads, Merchant Center, GA4 Shopify and Magento Feed management via native Merchant Center, custom rules, and third-party tools where justified Attribution and profit layering with tools like Triple Whale and Northbeam, supplemented by client-side COGS and margin data Light scripting and automation for reporting, segmentation, and guardrails How we work We are deliberately narrow. No Meta. No TikTok. No full-funnel theatre. We give clients control, explainability, and commercial clarity. Every decision is traceable back to pounds, margin, and risk. If that sounds severe, good. It usually is.
Who you'll find among the Dutch experts
29 agencies, 3 freelancers. The Dutch pool is overwhelmingly agency-based. Three freelancers is a short list for small, fixed jobs, so if you need one person rather than a team, read those three profiles first.
Amsterdam leads. Eindhoven, Haarlem and Zoetermeer follow, with a spread of other towns behind them. Proximity rarely decides a Shopify project; portfolio and fit do.
English, Dutch, and German as a bonus. Nine experts list German, which helps if Germany is your next market and you want someone who can review German product pages rather than just paste them in. If that's the plan, international expansion experts are worth a look too. Four list Spanish and two list French.
A strategy-heavy pool. All 32 list Store Setup & Management and 27 list Shopify Development. Consulting & Strategy comes next with 23, ahead of Marketing & Growth on 21. Design, UX & Branding (15), Copywriting & Content (11) and Finance, Taxes & Compliance (5) are thinner. With consulting that common, don't be surprised if a quote opens with a discovery phase.
What that means for choosing. If your store already exists and the question is what to do next, that consulting depth works in your favour. If you have a finished design and only need it built, say so in your brief, or you may pay for strategy you don't need.
How the listing runs. Experts based in the Netherlands appear first. Further down are experts based in other countries who already work with European merchants.
Where do Dutch starting prices sit?
15 experts based in the Netherlands show a starting price. Here's the spread, in US dollars at October 2026, with zero-price profiles excluded. A starting price is the floor for working with an expert, not an estimate for your project.
Middle half of starting prices
$270 – $2,250
The central band of the 15 Dutch profiles
Median starting price
$1,500
Half of Dutch profiles start here or higher
Top quarter of listed prices
$2,250 – $10,000
Where the pricier Dutch profiles start
The jump from the lower quartile to the median is the useful part. A quarter of listed starting prices are $270 or less, yet half are $1,500 or more. If your budget is small, check an expert's starting price before you send a brief.
Quotes rise with the size of your catalogue, how many languages and markets you launch in, custom design versus a configured theme, and ERP or warehouse integrations. Send your product count, current platform, target markets and must-have integrations, and ask each expert to price discovery separately from delivery.
Getting a Dutch store's Shopify settings right
iDEAL | Wero belongs in your checkout. Shopify Payments runs for Dutch-based stores, with euro payouts. Shopify's documentation lists iDEAL | Wero as a local payment method through Shopify Payments, so a good expert enables it during set-up and tests it with a real payment before launch.
Choosing a tax mode. The Netherlands follows Shopify's EU VAT set-up. For a store opened after 13 May 2026 the realistic choice is Shopify Tax or Manual Tax, since Basic Tax only remains for stores that were already collecting EU tax before that date. Manual Tax means maintaining the rates yourself, and it rules out the Union One-Stop Shop, which Shopify supports only through Shopify Tax or Basic Tax.
Shopify won't file for you. It neither submits returns nor remits EU VAT, so your bookkeeper still handles that. A good expert asks who your bookkeeper is early and sets the store up to match how they report.
Counters and pop-ups. POS hardware can be bought straight from Shopify's hardware store in the Netherlands. For a market stall or a second till, Shopify POS also takes Tap to Pay on iPhone and Android, as long as Shopify Payments is active.
Dutch in the back office and at checkout. Staff can work in a Dutch-language admin, and customers get a Dutch checkout. Eligible Dutch businesses can also be offered Shopify Capital.

Netherlands hiring FAQ: agencies, freelancers and remote work
If you know exactly what you want built, a builder is cheaper and faster. If you're replatforming, expanding into Germany or Belgium, or unsure what the store should do, a consulting-led team earns its fee. Make sure you can stop after discovery and take the plan elsewhere if it doesn't convince you.
No. The listing continues with experts in other countries who serve European merchants. Check two things first: that they've enabled iDEAL | Wero on a live store, and that someone fluent in Dutch reviews your storefront and checkout copy. A small paid task, such as setting up tax on a development store, shows how they work before you commit to a build.
Line them up against the same scope. Ask each for the same breakdown: discovery, design, build, data migration, apps and post-launch support, with a fixed fee or hours for every line. A low quote that leaves out migration or support isn't cheaper. Also ask what each would refuse to build, because a good agency tells you where your plan is overbuilt.
A careful freelancer can move a small catalogue onto a configured theme. Larger migrations with order history, customer accounts, redirects and integrations need more hands, and a backup if someone falls ill mid-project. With only three freelancers based here, check availability before planning around one.
Pay with iDEAL | Wero on a phone and on a desktop, issue a refund, check the VAT on an order to another EU country, and read every customer email in Dutch. If you sell in person, ring up a sale on POS. Ask your expert for a written launch checklist and work through it together, not on their own.
