Option-set work, one product at a time
The app’s settings are approachable. The hard part is designing option sets a shopper can get through without giving up, and that whoever makes the product can act on. That design work is what these experts sell.
Option sets and logic. Mapping out every choice on a complex product, then building it with the right field types and conditional logic so customers only see what applies. A frame size that hides mounts it can’t take. A monogram box that only appears once someone ticks engraving.
Add-on pricing. Setting up Native Bundling so a paid option adds its linked add-on product and Shopify prices the order correctly. That usually means tidying the add-on products themselves, their status, price and naming, because the cart relies on them.
Theme placement and styling. Switching on the app embed, or placing the Infinite Options Fields block by hand on a product template, then styling the fields so they sit naturally in the theme on a phone screen.
Order and production data. Customer choices land in the Shopify order. Experts label them clearly enough for whoever packs, prints or engraves, and carry them into fulfilment and print workflows.
Custom behaviour. For anything the settings can’t do, ShopPad documents a developer Event API for Infinite Options. That is a job for one of the developers in this group rather than a store manager.
The skill here is patience more than code: thinking through every combination before a customer finds the broken one.
How much does an Infinite Options expert cost?
Every one of the 18 Infinite Product Options badge holders shows a starting price on their shopexperts profile. We collected them in October 2026, in US dollars. Each figure is the smallest job that expert says they take on, so it tells you where an expert’s work begins, not what your option sets will cost.
Middle half
$100 – $500
The central half of the listed starting prices
Median
$247
Half of these experts list less, half list more
Top quarter
$500 – $5,000
Experts whose smallest accepted job is larger
What moves an Infinite Options quote is the number of distinct option sets, not the number of products. Ten products sharing one set is a small job. Three products, each with its own tree of conditions, is not. Paid add-ons add time too, because every paid option needs a working add-on product behind it. Styling the fields to match a heavily customised theme is usually the other variable.
For a quote you can rely on, send your products grouped by option set, a sketch of the conditions on the most complex one, your theme name, and how production needs option data to look on the order.
Infinite Options Shopify setup: bundling, embeds and labels
Two pricing methods, one at a time. Infinite Options prices add-ons through Native Bundling or the older Product Bundles feature. They can’t run together. Native Bundling has to be switched off before Product Bundles even appears in the dashboard.
They behave differently in the cart. Product Bundles always adds a separate product line. If the main product’s price should rise instead, Native Bundling is the method, with Shopify pricing the linked add-on into the order total.
Add-on products need the right status. Under Native Bundling, add-ons must be Active or Unlisted, never Draft. Under the legacy method, the add-on must be active, published to the Online Store sales channel and priced. When an add-on price fails to appear, check this first.
Labels must be unique. Two values that share the same Label on Cart overwrite each other, so one customer choice replaces another on the order.
The embed is per theme. The app embed is switched on once for each theme. Switch to a new theme and it needs turning on there as well, so check it before publishing.
The price block needs Online Store 2.0. The Dynamic Bundling Price Block only works on Online Store 2.0 themes. Stores on older themes won’t get it.
Check you have the right app. Other developers sell apps with very similar names. The ShopPad app appears on the Shopify App Store as Infinite Options: Product opt. Make sure an expert’s experience is with that one.

Infinite Product Options Shopify: questions before you hire
For a few simple fields you may not need one. Turn on the app embed in your theme, create an option set, add the fields and assign the set to products. The 14-day free trial is long enough to test that on a real product. Bring in help when conditions start stacking, when options change the price, or when production keeps misreading orders.
Keep choices that need their own SKU, stock count or image as variants, such as size and colour. Use Infinite Options for the rest: personalisation text, gift wrap, engraving and other add-ons, plus anything that would push a product past Shopify’s variant limits. Many stores use both on the same product, and an expert’s first job is drawing that line.
Rarely. Most option-set builds are a defined job a freelancer handles well, and 10 of the 18 badge holders are freelancers. An agency earns its fee when options are one part of a bigger change, such as a theme rebuild, new product templates and a production integration all at once.
Rebuild them rather than trying to import them. List every field, condition and price on your current products first, rebuild in Infinite Options on a duplicate theme, then place test orders for each combination before switching. Remove the old app only once orders show the new option data correctly.
Yes. The listing carries Shopify’s Built for Shopify status. That speaks to how the app itself is built, not to how your option sets are designed. A store can still end up with confusing forms and broken add-on prices on a well-built app.
We didn’t find one, so judge experts on option sets they have built. Ask for a live product page with conditional logic and a paid add-on, then place it in your cart to see how the choices and the price come through.
