We help merchants turn a Shopify store into a faster, clearer, easier business to run. What Judge.me experts do beyond the install
Judge.me's free plan already covers unlimited reviews, photo and video reviews, widgets, Google sync and the importer. So when a store pays an expert, it's for one of a handful of specific jobs, and most come down to fit and data.
Widget placement and styling. On Online Store 2.0 themes, the expert enables the Judge.me app embed, adds the Review Widget block in the theme editor and styles the widgets, star ratings and testimonial sliders to match the product page. Vintage themes need the widget added in Liquid by hand.
Imports. Bringing reviews over from a previous review app or a marketplace, then checking that photos and product matches landed where they should.
Review requests. Getting the timing of request emails right and, on the Awesome plan, attaching coupons and referrals so a review leads to a repeat sale.
Syndication. Sending reviews to Google, the Shop app and social channels so ratings appear beyond your own product pages.
Shopify Flow. Using Judge.me's triggers ("New review received", "Review request ready") and actions ("Send review requests for order", "Skip review requests for order"), for example to skip requests on wholesale orders.
Headless and custom builds. Reading and creating reviews through the Judge.me API, and rendering widgets on a headless storefront from the Widget API.
What rarely needs paying for is ongoing management. Once Judge.me is configured properly, it mostly runs itself.
What do Judge.me experts charge on shopexperts?
Each Judge.me-badge expert on shopexperts sets a starting price on their profile, and none of the 32 is set to zero, so nothing was excluded. The tiles summarise those prices in US dollars as of October 2026. Read each as an expert's entry point across all their work, not a Judge.me quote; the real number depends on your scope.

The biggest swings come from the theme and the data. A vintage theme needs hand-written Liquid; an Online Store 2.0 theme doesn't. An import from one review app is quick, while several sources with photos and renamed products take longer. Headless builds on the API and Flow automations are developer work and get quoted that way. Plenty of Judge.me stores only ever need one of these jobs, done once.
When you ask for quotes, include your theme name and whether it's Online Store 2.0, your Judge.me plan, where existing reviews live today and roughly how many there are, plus a link to a product page whose review layout you like.
Judge.me integration details: themes, Flow and the API
Shopify only, from now on. Judge.me has sunset every non-Shopify platform, the last on 31 January 2026, to put all its technical and support resources into Shopify. If you also run a store on another platform, its reviews need a new home.
A new theme drops the widgets. Judge.me widgets have to be re-added after you change themes. A good expert re-enables the app embed and re-places the Review Widget block as part of any theme launch, so reviews don't vanish from product pages on launch day.
Flow is a paid feature. Judge.me's Shopify Flow triggers and actions need the Awesome plan, and the "Review request ready" trigger reaches the Early User Program first. Check your plan before anyone designs a Flow-based review process.
API reviews are hard to undo. Reviews created through the API can't be marked as verified and can't be deleted. An expert pushing reviews in that way should test on a handful first, because mistakes stay put.
Headless needs the Widget API. On a custom storefront, widget data comes from the Widget API with json_request=true, and the developer renders it in your front end.
Where it appears in Shopify. The listing declares compatibility with Checkout, Customer accounts, Shopify Flow and Shopify Admin, and Judge.me documents a reviews block for the Customers dashboard in the Shopify admin.

Judge.me Shopify questions, answered
For many stores the free plan is enough for a long time. It includes unlimited reviews, photo and video reviews, widgets, Google sync and the importer. Awesome adds AI features, 130+ integrations, coupons and referrals, Google Shopping, social sync and the Shopify Flow triggers and actions. It comes with a 15-day free trial, so test the one feature you need before upgrading.
Yes. Judge.me's importer brings reviews across from other review apps and from marketplaces, and it's included on the free plan. The work is in the checking: photos came through, reviews attached to the right products, nothing duplicated. If products have been renamed or merged since the reviews were written, expect some manual matching. Ask an expert to run a test batch first.
Judge.me widgets don't move with you to a new theme; they have to be re-added. On an Online Store 2.0 theme that means turning the Judge.me app embed back on and placing the Review Widget block again in the theme editor. On a vintage theme the Liquid goes in by hand. The reviews are still in Judge.me, just no longer displayed.
Judge.me adds two Flow triggers, "New review received" and "Review request ready", and two actions, "Send review requests for order" and "Skip review requests for order". You could route a new low-star review to your support team, or stop requests going to wholesale buyers. All of it needs the Awesome plan, and the second trigger reaches the Early User Program first.
No. Judge.me has sunset every other platform it used to support, the last on 31 January 2026, and now runs on Shopify only. For a Shopify merchant that's neutral to positive, because the company's technical and support resources now go into one platform. If you also run a store elsewhere, that store's reviews need another solution.
Yes. The Judge.me API reads and creates reviews programmatically, and the Widget API with json_request=true returns widget data for your own front end, which a developer then renders. One caution: reviews created through the API can't be marked verified or deleted, so test carefully before writing reviews in bulk that way.
