Shopify speed and ad tracking fixes: for stores where the ads bring visitors but not sales I help Shopify stores sell more to the visitors you already pay to bring in. I find the spots where shoppers give up, and then I fix them. One example. A clothing brand's product pages took 15.4 seconds to load. Five weeks before Black Friday, I got them to 7.4 seconds. That is the job: I find what slows your store down, and I fix it. The same work keeps finding a second problem: numbers you cannot trust. The code that tells Meta or Google about a sale fires twice, so sales count double. Ads run across every product, with no check on which ones earn. Apps bill every month for work nobody has measured. So I also check what your money is really doing, instead of trusting what Google, Meta and the apps say. Then I fix what I find. I work with established stores run by their founders. To me, speed and ad spend are sales problems, not technical boxes to tick. What I work on, eight ways in: Speed check. I measure how fast your pages load for real shoppers on a phone. I find what makes them wait, and I fix it. Accessibility check. I test your store the way a keyboard user or a screen reader meets it. I check whether a widget sits on top of problems it does not fix. You get the findings in the order a complaint would reach them. Shopify deadline check. Shopify changes its rules on set dates. Scripts ended on 30 June. Order status script tags ended on 26 August. I find what has already stopped working on your store and what is dated ahead, and I make the repairs. Tracking and attribution fix. Meta Pixel, GA4 (Google Analytics) and server-side tracking. I remove the double counting and prove it in your own dashboards. Ad spend by product and the app bill get read in the same pass. Google and Meta recovery. Your products stopped showing on Google or Meta. I find where the connection broke and get them showing again. Sale price check. AI shopping tools, like ChatGPT, now get your "was" prices from Shopify. I check that yours reach them right. Builds and theme upgrades. New sections and modern themes, with your custom work and your tracking still running. Every change to the live site has a way back. Partner Seat. 25 hours a month. I watch speed, the pages customers see, broken links, tracking and app bills. Your work goes first in the queue. Each check is $285. If you go ahead, I take the fee off the fix price. Key results: Product page load time cut from 15.4 seconds to 7.4 seconds, 52% faster. Mobile PageSpeed on product pages from 18 to 28. The apps the client chose stayed in place, at their call. Two apps were billing to track what the store's own Google channel already did. I removed them, checked the tracking was clean, and took $199 a year off the app bill. Repeat clients going back to 2018. One store has come back for 14 projects over four years. How I work: A paid check first. It measures the real problem, no guessing. If you go ahead, I take the fee off the fix price. Work in stages. You approve each one. Every delivery ends with before and after numbers, and a short list of the next things I found. 80+ projects done. Clients in the US, Canada, UK, Australia and Denmark. Send me your store address. I will tell you what slows it down, whether your numbers add up, and what a complaint would find first. No commitment.

Shopify stores that earn their keep. I run Graftstudio, the technical and commercial lead for mid-market DTC brands on Shopify Plus. Brands bring me in when the store has outgrown the people who set it up. I find what it's costing, fix what the numbers say pays, and measure every change. In 15+ years I have partnered with over 160 brands that generate £80m in sales across their stores. Cult Gaia, Victoria Beckham, Gymshark, Seafolly and Ireland's largest salon group among them. I'm a Shopify Plus Partner, and three in four brands come back. I take on a small number of brands at a time, offering audits, fix sprints and fractional store ownership.

What a Google Shopping expert does on Shopify
Merchant Center and store readiness. An expert creates or connects Merchant Center, verifies your domain and gets the store past Google's requirements: Refund Policy and Terms of Service in the footer, visible contact details, a valid payment provider, and shipping to a supported country in that country's currency. Only then do they sync products.
Feed fixes. Product data is where most feed trouble starts. Experts assign a Google product category, add GTINs or MPNs, and fill the extra attributes Google expects for categories such as apparel. On a large catalogue this is the bulk of the work, and it's slow, careful work rather than a setting.
Performance Max. The channel can run Performance Max campaigns across Search and YouTube on a daily budget you set. An expert structures the campaign, links Google Analytics so conversions are measured, and reviews spend against results each month.
YouTube Shopping. Connecting your store to YouTube lets viewers buy what they watch. Your YouTube channel needs at least 1,000 subscribers, approval for monetisation, a supported country and no Made for Kids setting. An expert checks eligibility before any setup starts.
Account problems. For Merchant Center issues, suspensions and ad approvals, Shopify points you to Google. An expert who knows Merchant Center works through the flagged issues and the conversation with Google for you.
Newer features. The channel also offers Product Studio for AI product images, Automated Discounts, a store widget and, since February 2026, publishing fixed bundles to Google.
How to pick the right person for Google Shopping
Google Shopping work splits into two skill sets: feed and Merchant Center compliance, and paid campaign management. Some experts do both well. Many are stronger at one, so ask which they'd lead with on your store and why.
Ask about a suspension they've cleared. What was flagged, what they changed, and how long it took Google to respond. Specifics separate people who have done this from people who have read about it.
Ask how they'll handle identifiers. If your products lack GTINs or MPNs, a good expert asks where that data will come from instead of promising to optimise the feed.
Ask who will own the accounts. Merchant Center and Google Ads should sit under your business, with the expert added as a user. A verified domain can only be tied to one Merchant Center account, so an expert's account holding your domain causes trouble later.
Red flags. Guaranteed returns on ad spend, a promised date for lifting a suspension, or no questions about your return policy and shipping countries.
Start with a review. A paid Merchant Center and feed audit makes a sensible first task: every disapproved product, its cause and its fix. It also shows whether your problem sits in the feed or in the campaigns, which tells you which kind of expert to keep.
Google Shopping Shopify integration: requirements and pitfalls
Merchant Center is optional, until you sync products. You can use the channel for Google Ads or Analytics alone, but product sync needs a Merchant Center account. Most stores want the sync, so do the Merchant Center work properly first.
Store eligibility. The online store can't be in private mode. Refund Policy and Terms of Service belong in the footer, contact information has to be visible, and you need a valid payment provider. Each one is a quick fix, and each one blocks approval when missed.
Country and currency. You need to ship to a supported country and sell in that country's currency. Stores selling abroad with Shopify Markets should check the currency for each market before expecting products to appear there.
Domain conflicts. Merchant Center needs a verified domain that isn't associated with another account. An old account set up by a previous agency or a former employee can block the verification until someone with access to that account sorts it out.
Where Shopify Support stops. Shopify Support helps with installing the channel and setting up products in Shopify. Everything inside Merchant Center and Google Ads is Google's. If products aren't appearing at all, read why Shopify products don't show in Google first.
AI Mode and Gemini. Google AI Mode and Gemini direct checkout is a separate Shopify agentic storefront channel, shown only to US customers and still rolling out. It relies on the same Merchant Center feed, so a clean feed now serves both.
Google & YouTube work these experts list
Many Merchant Center flags trace back to product data or store pages in Shopify, so the work starts on the store side before it reaches campaigns.

Questions about the Google & YouTube channel
Install the Google & YouTube sales channel, connect your Google account, then create or link a Merchant Center account with a verified domain that no other account uses. Make sure your store meets Google's requirements, including footer policies and visible contact details, and sync your products. Free listings and Shopping ads both run from that same product sync.
The channel syncs your products, deals and shipping from Shopify to Google Merchant Center. Each product needs a Google product category and unique identifiers such as a GTIN or MPN. Merchant Center then shows which products are approved and which are disapproved, and why. Fixing those flags is the core of most feed work.
Yes, the channel is free to install. If you run Performance Max or other campaigns, ad spend is billed to your Google Ads account, and you set the daily budget. Free listings cost nothing beyond the time it takes to get your feed approved.
No. Shopify Support can help you install the channel and set up products in Shopify, but Merchant Center, Google Ads, account suspensions and ad approvals go to Google directly. A Google Shopping expert can review the flagged issues, fix the store or feed, and help you through the process with Google.
Yes, if your channel qualifies. YouTube Shopping needs at least 1,000 subscribers, approval for monetisation, a supported country, and a channel that isn't set as Made for Kids. Once eligible, you connect your store to YouTube through the Google & YouTube channel. Check eligibility before paying anyone for setup.
It does. Google AI Mode and Gemini direct checkout is a separate Shopify channel, shown only to US customers and still rolling out, but it relies on the same Merchant Center feed. Accurate categories, identifiers and shipping data in your feed serve both, so feed work done now carries over.
