New York Cement Tile is a specialty tile supplier. Its range covers cement tile, zellige, terrazzo, breeze block, Carlo Scarpa mosaic marble, and Terra Forma porcelain and Reforma ceramic.
Architects, interior designers and specifiers who need accurate quantities, technical documentation and a way to request quotes. The client also sells to homeowners and commercial project teams.
Give professionals a single self-serve hub where they can plan a tile project from first idea to quote request, without waiting on a sales rep. The hub also needed to capture structured project details for the sales team.
Specifiers had to work out square footage, waste and box counts by hand or by email.
With nine material families and a large catalog, it was hard to narrow down options by material, style, application and color.
Installation guides and technical specs were hard to find for each collection.
Quote requests arrived without project context, so the team had to ask follow-up questions.
We built the Designer & Architect Hub for New York Cement Tile, a custom page on their Shopify store running the Prestige theme (v11.1.0). It's a single self-serve workspace where architects and designers can plan a tile project, from working out quantities to requesting a quote, without waiting on the sales team.
The hub combines four connected tools:
Tile Calculator: works out square footage, waste, tile count and box count.
Design Match: recommends products from the live Shopify catalog based on the user's chosen material, style, application and color.
Project Design Builder: lets users mix collections and plan a layout.
Tech Library: gives access to the installation guides for each collection.
Everything feeds into one quote request form. It sends the sales team a summary of the user's calculator, design and builder selections, so each request arrives with the project's full context.
Tile Calculator. Users enter an area name, application (floor, wall, shower, pool, backsplash, outdoor or spa), unit (ft, in or m), dimensions, wall height and openings to deduct. They then pick a tile size (2x2 up to 36x36), a layout (straight, offset, herringbone, checkerboard or vertical) and a waste factor. It returns gross area, adjusted area with waste, estimated tiles and estimated boxes, rounded up.
Design Match (Design Assistant). Users filter by material, style (open, warm, minimal, classic or contemporary), application (bathroom/shower, outdoor, pool, commercial, kitchen, floor, wall, spa or bathhouse) and color family. The tool returns product recommendations from the live Shopify catalog by matching the products' tags.
Project Design Builder. Users mix and match collections to visualize a space and plan the layout.
Tech Library. PDF installation guides for Zellige, Cement Tile, Terrazzo, Carlo Scarpa Mosaic, Carlo Scarpa Terrazzo, Toba Limestone Porcelain and Breeze Block.
Quote request. A form collecting name, email, company and address. It attaches a summary of the user's Project Builder, Calculator and Design Assistant selections, so sales sees the full project context.
Inspiration. Curated looks and real installs, plus the brand's social feed.
After launch, the hub gave architects and designers a self-serve way to calculate quantities, shortlist materials and send fully scoped quote requests.
