What PageFly experts actually do on a Shopify store
Pages built from a brief, not a template. PageFly ships with 320+ templates and AI page and section generation, so a first draft comes quickly. What an expert adds is the thinking behind it: which offer, which proof, which order on a phone screen. A good PageFly landing page starts as a wireframe and a note of what the ad promised.
Builder pages that match the theme. Store and theme customisation is one of the services PageFly’s own partner directory lists. The goal is simple: a shopper shouldn’t be able to tell where your theme ends and PageFly begins. Same fonts, buttons, spacing and product cards.
Other apps inside the page. The App Block element lets a reviews or upsell block from another app sit inside a PageFly page or section. It works once per page, so an expert decides which block earns that slot.
Code the editor can’t write. Custom JavaScript and Liquid sit on the same services list, for logic the drag-and-drop elements don’t cover. Ask for it to be documented. Custom code tucked inside a builder page is easy to lose track of.
Tests that get finished. PageFly has A/B tests, click heatmaps, funnel drop-off reports and an AI page audit, with testing and heatmaps on the Accelerate plan. An expert reads the heatmap before redesigning, runs one variant against the control, and ends the test when it has an answer. For work across the whole funnel rather than one page, pair this with a CRO specialist.
Fixes. Troubleshooting and error fixing is on the same list: pages that failed to republish after a theme switch, heavy pages, widgets that won’t render.
How much does a PageFly Shopify expert cost?
These are the starting prices that experts with the PageFly badge list on their shopexperts profiles, in US dollars, checked in October 2026. Profiles showing a zero price are left out. Each figure is the lowest project price that expert shows, so treat it as an entry point rather than a quote.
Middle half
$68 – $178
Where half of these profiles start
Median
$100

Top quarter
$178 – $500

A one-page tweak sits near the bottom of that range. A set of campaign pages with theme matching, custom code and a testing plan sits well above any starting price. Page count, the amount of custom JavaScript or Liquid, and whether the expert also sets up and reads experiments move a quote the most.
Before paying anyone for a small fix, ask PageFly support: it offers free in-house help with small UI tweaks on every plan. For a quote, send the page URLs, your theme name, your PageFly plan and what each page has to do.
How PageFly hooks into your theme, and what breaks
The theme extension has to stay on. PageFly runs through a theme app extension that it switches on automatically when you publish a page. If it gets disabled, PageFly pages stop working properly with the theme. It’s the first thing a good expert checks when a page suddenly looks wrong.
Pages belong to one theme at a time. PageFly publishes into your active theme, and all PageFly pages work with only one theme at once. After a theme switch, some pages can fail to publish, and PageFly’s own guidance is to republish them. Plan any theme change with a list of every PageFly page and a check of each one after go-live.
App blocks need Online Store 2.0. The App Block element only works on OS 2.0 themes. On an older vintage theme, another app’s widget can’t go inside a PageFly page that way until the theme moves to OS 2.0.
Subscription widgets are a known clash. A major subscription app documents that page builders, PageFly named among them, aren’t compatible with its subscription widget. If a subscription widget has to sit on a page, check your subscription app’s compatibility notes before building it in PageFly. Keeping subscription product pages on theme templates is the safe default.
Two features are still in beta. Markets, which localises page content and design per Shopify Market, and the cart drawer with upsells, bundles and shipping goals both carry a beta label. Try them, but test every market and cart path before a launch depends on them.
PageFly also works inside Shopify Sidekick for finding templates, docs and your published pages. Useful for a quick lookup; no substitute for someone who knows how the pages were built.

PageFly questions merchants ask before hiring
Not necessarily. A badge on shopexperts is not the same thing as a place in PageFly’s own service partner directory, where PageFly says partners are checked through portfolio review, an expertise assessment and background checks. If that matters to you, look the expert up there too. Either way, ask for two or three live PageFly pages they built and open them on your phone.
It depends where the gap is. If the page needs to look right and convert, a designer who knows the builder is usually enough, because PageFly’s elements cover most layouts. If you need custom JavaScript or Liquid, or another app’s block wired into the page, hire a PageFly developer. Plenty of the experts here do both: 15 list Shopify development and 8 list design.
It can. PageFly pages work with one theme at a time, so after a switch some pages may fail to publish and need republishing. Before you change themes, list every PageFly page with its URL. Publish the new theme, confirm the PageFly theme extension is enabled, then republish and check each page on desktop and mobile.
For small things, yes. PageFly offers free in-house help with small UI tweaks on every plan, and it’s worth asking there first. Support won’t plan a landing page around your offer, rebuild your templates to match the theme, write custom code or run a testing programme. That’s the work worth paying a PageFly expert for.
Partly. PageFly’s Markets feature localises page content and design per Shopify Market, and it sits on the Accelerate plan. That suits different offers, imagery or messaging by country. It’s still in beta, so preview every market’s version before sending traffic, and keep the page copy consistent with how the rest of your store is translated.
Not for a simple page. PageFly is built for merchants, and the free plan gives you one published slot to try it. Bring someone in when the page carries paid traffic, needs custom code, has to match a heavily customised theme, or when you’re paying for the testing tools and haven’t run a single test.
