UK email and SMS rules a Klaviyo expert should know

Klaviyo makes it easy to send. UK rules decide who you may send to, so check these before you hire.

Consent under PECR. Marketing email and SMS to individuals need consent. The exception is the soft opt-in: you can market similar products to existing customers if you gave them a chance to opt out when you collected their details and in every message.

Records under UK GDPR. Keep a record of when and how each person signed up. Klaviyo stores consent data; the expert has to set up forms that capture it properly.
