Find the Best Shopify Experts in Switzerland
A Swiss store prices in francs, takes TWINT and doesn't get Shopify Tax. That last point catches out anyone working from an EU set-up guide, and it's why the expert you hire should have built for Switzerland before, not just for its neighbours.
Five Shopify experts in Switzerland appear on shopexperts as of October 2026. All five are agencies, Bern leads the cities on their profiles, and every one works in German and English; three also work in French.
Each lists store set-up, development, design, marketing and consulting, so this is a short list of full-service teams. Read their profiles first, then request a quote that names the languages you need and confirms you have a tax registration number ready.

Shopify speed and ad tracking fixes: for stores where the ads bring visitors but not sales I help Shopify stores sell more to the visitors you already pay to bring in. I find the spots where shoppers give up, and then I fix them. One example. A clothing brand's product pages took 15.4 seconds to load. Five weeks before Black Friday, I got them to 7.4 seconds. That is the job: I find what slows your store down, and I fix it. The same work keeps finding a second problem: numbers you cannot trust. The code that tells Meta or Google about a sale fires twice, so sales count double. Ads run across every product, with no check on which ones earn. Apps bill every month for work nobody has measured. So I also check what your money is really doing, instead of trusting what Google, Meta and the apps say. Then I fix what I find. I work with established stores run by their founders. To me, speed and ad spend are sales problems, not technical boxes to tick. What I work on, eight ways in: Speed check. I measure how fast your pages load for real shoppers on a phone. I find what makes them wait, and I fix it. Accessibility check. I test your store the way a keyboard user or a screen reader meets it. I check whether a widget sits on top of problems it does not fix. You get the findings in the order a complaint would reach them. Shopify deadline check. Shopify changes its rules on set dates. Scripts ended on 30 June. Order status script tags ended on 26 August. I find what has already stopped working on your store and what is dated ahead, and I make the repairs. Tracking and attribution fix. Meta Pixel, GA4 (Google Analytics) and server-side tracking. I remove the double counting and prove it in your own dashboards. Ad spend by product and the app bill get read in the same pass. Google and Meta recovery. Your products stopped showing on Google or Meta. I find where the connection broke and get them showing again. Sale price check. AI shopping tools, like ChatGPT, now get your "was" prices from Shopify. I check that yours reach them right. Builds and theme upgrades. New sections and modern themes, with your custom work and your tracking still running. Every change to the live site has a way back. Partner Seat. 25 hours a month. I watch speed, the pages customers see, broken links, tracking and app bills. Your work goes first in the queue. Each check is $285. If you go ahead, I take the fee off the fix price. Key results: Product page load time cut from 15.4 seconds to 7.4 seconds, 52% faster. Mobile PageSpeed on product pages from 18 to 28. The apps the client chose stayed in place, at their call. Two apps were billing to track what the store's own Google channel already did. I removed them, checked the tracking was clean, and took $199 a year off the app bill. Repeat clients going back to 2018. One store has come back for 14 projects over four years. How I work: A paid check first. It measures the real problem, no guessing. If you go ahead, I take the fee off the fix price. Work in stages. You approve each one. Every delivery ends with before and after numbers, and a short list of the next things I found. 80+ projects done. Clients in the US, Canada, UK, Australia and Denmark. Send me your store address. I will tell you what slows it down, whether your numbers add up, and what a complaint would find first. No commitment.

Five agencies, no freelancers: the Swiss line-up
No freelancers based here yet. All five experts based in Switzerland on shopexperts are agencies. Need one developer for a contained job? The listing carries on below the Swiss profiles with experts from other countries who also serve stores in Europe.
A Bern bias. Bern appears on more Swiss profiles than any other city. That helps if you want workshops in person there, and limits nothing else: an agency in Bern can configure a store for a shop anywhere in the country.
Languages are what separate them. All five list German and English. Three list French and one lists Spanish. None lists Italian, which matters if you sell to Italian-speaking customers: plan for a translator or reviewer for that version of your store.
Five generalists, two tax specialists. Every Swiss profile carries the same core: set-up, development, marketing, consulting and design. Four add Copywriting & Content. Only two list Finance, Taxes & Compliance, and in a country that isn't a Shopify Tax region, those two deserve a call before anyone touches your tax settings.
What that means for your shortlist. With five agencies, call all of them before widening the search. The differences between them sit in languages, tax depth and the stores they've already shipped, not in the category labels. Ask each which of German, French and Italian would be in scope at launch, and who writes each one.
Swiss agency or remote specialist?
Choose a Swiss-based agency when the set-up is the risk. Basic Tax, TWINT and franc pricing are specific to Swiss stores. Paying for an agency that has configured them before costs less than fixing a launch.
Look further when you need one person, not a team. With no freelancers based in Switzerland on shopexperts, a small fixed job such as a template change, a speed check or a single integration may be better value from a freelancer based abroad.
Split the work if it makes sense. One sensible pattern: a Swiss agency for configuration and launch, a remote specialist for theme development or ongoing tasks. Make one of them accountable for the finished store.
Ask remote candidates one tax question. How would they configure taxes for a store based in Switzerland? If the answer starts with Shopify Tax, keep looking. A good answer mentions Basic Tax and asks for your registration number.
Agree the contract currency up front. Your store sells in francs. A quote in euros or dollars from an expert abroad moves with the exchange rate, so decide who carries that risk before the work starts.
Francs, TWINT and Basic Tax: Shopify set-up in Switzerland
Payouts in francs or euros. Shopify Payments is open to Swiss-based stores, and Shopify's payout page for Switzerland offers CHF or EUR. If your supplier invoices or ad spend run in euros, agree the payout currency with your accountant before your expert sets it up.
TWINT at checkout. Shopify's documentation names TWINT among the local payment methods Shopify Payments supports for stores here. Expect a good expert to turn it on as part of set-up and pay with it once before go-live. If payments are the only gap in your store, payment gateway experts can handle TWINT and payouts on their own.
Basic Tax, not Shopify Tax. Switzerland is not a Shopify Tax region. Stores here use Shopify's Basic Tax service, and it won't work without a tax registration number. Have yours ready before set-up begins.
Selling in person. Switzerland sits outside the delivery range of Shopify's hardware store, so supported POS hardware comes from third-party retailers; your expert should confirm each device is one Shopify supports before you buy it. On the lighter end, Tap to Pay on iPhone and Android does work with Shopify POS here once Shopify Payments is on, which can cover a pop-up or a small counter without extra kit.
Three languages, one admin. Shopify's admin and checkout both support German, French and Italian. The checkout is the easy part; product pages, emails and policies in each language are where the work and the budget go.
Five Swiss profiles, service by service
Every count here is out of five, so small differences carry weight.
Store Setup & Management
Listed by all five Swiss-based agencies
Shopify Development
Five of five; ask for a Swiss store they built
Design, UX & Branding
All five list design alongside the build
Marketing & Growth
All five; confirm which language markets they run
Copywriting & Content
Four of five; ask whether Italian is covered
Finance, Taxes & Compliance
Two of five; first call for Basic Tax set-up
Francs, languages and tax: Swiss hiring questions
Usually not at the start. The checkout side is covered; the open question is translated product content, emails and policies. A separate store per language doubles the upkeep. Ask your expert how they'd run several languages in one store, and at what point a second store would genuinely pay for itself.
You can sell in euros to other markets, but keep francs for Swiss customers if you want TWINT. Shopify lists conditions for offering TWINT, including prices in CHF and Switzerland set up as a shipping destination. Ask your expert to set currencies market by market before anyone prices the catalogue, because changing them later means checking every price again.
Ask each one directly, because the label won't tell you. Store Setup & Management is on all five Swiss profiles, but it covers anything from a one-off launch to a monthly retainer. Agree response times, what counts as a fix versus new work, and a monthly or hourly price before launch, not after the first problem.
It depends where your business is based and how your accountant wants Swiss sales reported. A store based in Switzerland uses Basic Tax and pays out in francs or euros; a store based elsewhere follows that country's set-up. Ask an expert to map both options against your company structure before anyone builds, so you don't end up building twice.
Ask for two live Swiss stores and open them in French or Italian as well as German. Check that the language switch behaves and nothing falls back to English halfway through checkout. Then ask who wrote any custom code, whether you'll own it, and how it's documented so another team could take over.
