Find the Best Shopify Experts in Italy
A store based in Italy gets Shopify's admin and checkout in Italian and Shopify Payments payouts in euro, so the platform is rarely what slows a launch down. Choosing who builds it usually is.
As of October 2026, 38 Shopify experts in Italy are listed on shopexperts: 29 agencies and 9 freelancers. Nearly all offer store setup and Shopify development, most also sell marketing and strategy, and most work in both Italian and English. A full-service agency is the norm here rather than the exception.
Fewer than a third publish a starting price, so expect to describe your project before you see a number. Compare the Italian profiles below, which come first, and ask two or three of them for a quote.

Shopify speed and ad tracking fixes: for stores where the ads bring visitors but not sales I help Shopify stores sell more to the visitors you already pay to bring in. I find the spots where shoppers give up, and then I fix them. One example. A clothing brand's product pages took 15.4 seconds to load. Five weeks before Black Friday, I got them to 7.4 seconds. That is the job: I find what slows your store down, and I fix it. The same work keeps finding a second problem: numbers you cannot trust. The code that tells Meta or Google about a sale fires twice, so sales count double. Ads run across every product, with no check on which ones earn. Apps bill every month for work nobody has measured. So I also check what your money is really doing, instead of trusting what Google, Meta and the apps say. Then I fix what I find. I work with established stores run by their founders. To me, speed and ad spend are sales problems, not technical boxes to tick. What I work on, eight ways in: Speed check. I measure how fast your pages load for real shoppers on a phone. I find what makes them wait, and I fix it. Accessibility check. I test your store the way a keyboard user or a screen reader meets it. I check whether a widget sits on top of problems it does not fix. You get the findings in the order a complaint would reach them. Shopify deadline check. Shopify changes its rules on set dates. Scripts ended on 30 June. Order status script tags ended on 26 August. I find what has already stopped working on your store and what is dated ahead, and I make the repairs. Tracking and attribution fix. Meta Pixel, GA4 (Google Analytics) and server-side tracking. I remove the double counting and prove it in your own dashboards. Ad spend by product and the app bill get read in the same pass. Google and Meta recovery. Your products stopped showing on Google or Meta. I find where the connection broke and get them showing again. Sale price check. AI shopping tools, like ChatGPT, now get your "was" prices from Shopify. I check that yours reach them right. Builds and theme upgrades. New sections and modern themes, with your custom work and your tracking still running. Every change to the live site has a way back. Partner Seat. 25 hours a month. I watch speed, the pages customers see, broken links, tracking and app bills. Your work goes first in the queue. Each check is $285. If you go ahead, I take the fee off the fix price. Key results: Product page load time cut from 15.4 seconds to 7.4 seconds, 52% faster. Mobile PageSpeed on product pages from 18 to 28. The apps the client chose stayed in place, at their call. Two apps were billing to track what the store's own Google channel already did. I removed them, checked the tracking was clean, and took $199 a year off the app bill. Repeat clients going back to 2018. One store has come back for 14 projects over four years. How I work: A paid check first. It measures the real problem, no guessing. If you go ahead, I take the fee off the fix price. Work in stages. You approve each one. Every delivery ends with before and after numbers, and a short list of the next things I found. 80+ projects done. Clients in the US, Canada, UK, Australia and Denmark. Send me your store address. I will tell you what slows it down, whether your numbers add up, and what a complaint would find first. No commitment.

Shopify SEO and AEO Consultant–Let's get you found. I built my own Shopify store, The Kind Pet, to $50K in its first year organically with zero ad spend. After 8+ years working in eCommerce (including building Shopify stores and helping brands double their traffic while growing organic revenue to 30–50% through SEO and conversion strategies), I made the move fully into Shopify growth consulting. What I work on: Site and navigation architecture by user intent Commercial keyword research paired with the collection build-out FAQ and AEO structure–mapped and marked up as schema Internal linking maps built for faster indexing Technical SEO and Core Web Vitals Backlinking SEO Content Marketing Conversion Rate Optimization Recent results: Skincare brand achieving $20K in Black Friday/Cyber Monday sales from organic sales Client organic revenue up 255% in one month, and a separate client up 104% in three months, following collection and keyword restructuring Repeat clients who return project after project once the structure is in place Types of clients: Small to medium-sized merchants Beauty, apparel, hardware, pets, etc. 2-6 year client lifetime–we strive for long-term partnerships Canadian merchants: I charge the same in USD and CAD, so you'll never have to pay for conversion.

Italy's 38 Shopify experts: a large, full-service list
Most are agencies, and most sell everything. Of the 38 experts based in Italy, 29 are agencies and 9 are freelancers. Store Setup & Management appears on 36 profiles, Shopify Development on 35, and Marketing & Growth and Consulting & Strategy on 32 each. You can hire one Italian supplier from strategy through launch to campaigns; the useful question is which of those it does best.
Design and copy are well covered too. Design, UX & Branding is listed by 24 and Copywriting & Content by 20. Finance, Taxes & Compliance is the thinnest category, at 12.
Italian and English, with Spanish as a bonus. Italian appears on 36 profiles and English on 34, so you can brief in either. Ten list Spanish, two French and one Dutch. If Spain is your next market, a Spanish-speaking Italian team can review the translated storefront.
Rome first, then the rest of the country. Rome is the city named most often, and the other profiles are spread from Lombardy and Piedmont down to Campania and Sicily. For almost every Shopify job, sharing a city with your expert changes nothing. It matters for a boutique fit-out with POS, or for teaching shop staff to use the till.
The order of the listing. Experts based in Italy appear first. Scroll past them and the listing continues with experts based outside Italy who also take European clients, which widens the pool if nine local freelancers aren't enough.
What does a Shopify expert in Italy cost?
Just 11 of the 38 experts based in Italy show a starting price. The tiles are built from those 11 prices, in USD as listed in October 2026; profiles priced at zero are left out. With a sample this small, read them as a guide rather than a market rate.
Middle half of starting prices
$48 – $1,745
A wide band from a small sample
Median starting price
$65
Low, and easy to misread
Top quarter of listed prices
$1,745 – $10,000
A quarter of priced Italian profiles start here
Each figure is where an Italian expert's pricing opens, not a quote for your project. Half of the priced Italian profiles start at $65 or less and a quarter at $1,745 or more, so two experts' starting prices can sit far apart. Don't shortlist on that number alone.
What sets the real price. Product and variant count, a move from another platform, Italian only or several languages, POS in a physical shop, and whether campaigns are part of the job. Ask each expert for a fixed quote against the same written brief, with the exclusions spelled out.
Running a Shopify store from Italy: the set-up details
Shops and showrooms. A boutique in Italy can start taking card payments in person with a phone and the Shopify POS app. Italian stores get Tap to Pay with Shopify POS on iPhone and Android, as long as they use Shopify Payments. When it's time for proper kit, Shopify's own hardware store sells POS equipment to Italian merchants directly. A good Shopify POS setup expert syncs shop and online stock from day one.
Payouts in euro. Italian stores can switch on Shopify Payments, and payouts land in euro. Ask your expert to finish the Shopify Payments set-up early; a launch that waits on the payment account is a launch that slips.
VAT settings. Shopify Tax and Manual Tax are the two routes for a new Italian store. Manual Tax leaves the rates to you and can't be used for Union OSS reporting; OSS needs Shopify Tax, or Basic Tax if EU tax collection on your store predates 13 May 2026. Whichever route you take, filing and paying the VAT stay with you and your accountant, because Shopify does neither.
Italian end to end. The admin and checkout both support Italian. Staff run orders in Italian and customers check out in Italian, so the expert's language work is product data and content, not interface workarounds.

Questions to settle before hiring a Shopify agency in Italy
With 29 agencies and 9 freelancers based in Italy, both routes are open. An agency makes sense for a full build with design, copy and marketing, which most Italian agencies list. A freelancer suits a defined job, such as a theme fix, a small migration or an app integration, and usually means you talk directly to the person writing the code. Decide by scope, not by price.
No. Location and language are separate details on a profile, so check both. An expert outside Italy who speaks Italian can be a good fit for content and support. For POS in a physical shop or on-site staff training, someone based in Italy is easier to work with, and those experts appear first in the listing.
Ask before you sign. Only 12 of the 38 experts based in Italy list Finance, Taxes & Compliance. A good answer names the Shopify tax setting they'd use, explains why, and says what they'll hand your accountant at the end. A vague answer means you'll need a separate tax specialist alongside the build team.
You should. Thirty-two of the 38 Italian experts also sell marketing, so the agency may be the one opening your ad and analytics accounts. Make sure they're created under your business, with the agency added as a user. The same applies to the Shopify store, the domain and any custom theme code: put ownership in the contract, not in a handover email.
Yes. English appears on 34 of the 38 Italian profiles, so a brand based in another country can brief them directly. Check the expert has built for your market and not only for Italian shoppers, since payments, tax and checkout language differ by country. Ask to see one of their live stores that sells where you sell.
